A trial has been scheduled for 25-year-old MASON VAN MCMULLIN (pictured), of Foxworth.
MCMULLIN will stand trial on October 12, 2026, for two counts of malicious injury to livestock, four counts of unnatural intercourse, and fifteen counts of aggravated animal cruelty.
According to court documents that were filed in January 2026, MCMULLIN had to undergo a forensic mental examination to determine whether or not he was fit to stand trial and the findings determined that he is competent. Reports stated that MCMULLIN “retained adequate awareness and understanding of the nature, quality, and wrongfulness of his alleged actions.”
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office had arrested MCMULLIN back on September 26, 2024, after receiving information that he was torturing and killing animals on video.
MCMULLIN was indicted by a grand jury on October 14, 2025. The indictment accused MCMULLIN of torturing, maiming, and crushing animals. The indictment further accused MCMULLIN of having sexual intercourse (which Voice For Us describes as RAPE), with cats, chickens, dogs, and goats.
According to the indictment, these abhorrent and nauseating incidents took place from 2023 to 2024, the time of his arrest.
When MCMULLIN was arrested in 2024, his bond was set at $500,000 cash only. With October’s grand jury indictment, his bond was set at $1,150,000.
At the time of writing, online arrest records maintained by the Marion County Sheriff's Office show that MCMULLIN is still in custody.
