ALLEXIS TELIA FERRELL accused of torturing, killing, and eating a cat in front of people

On Monday, December 2, 2024, 27-year-old ALLEXIS TELIA FERRELL (pictured), pleaded guilty to a felony charge of animal cruelty and Stark Country Common Pleas Judge Frank Forchione sentenced her to one year behind bars.


Quoting the Massillon Independent, the New York Post reports that Judge Forchione told FERRELL: “To me, you present quite a danger to our community. This is repulsive to me. I mean, that anyone would do this to an animal. And an animal’s like a child. I don’t know if you understand that or not. I can’t express the disappointment, shock, disgust that this crime has brought to me. You’ve embarrassed this county. You’ve embarrassed this nation. More importantly, you’ve embarrassed yourself.”


On Monday, FERRELL was also sentenced on probation violations in two prior cases, which were triggered by the animal cruelty case.


In April 2023, FERRELL was sentenced to three-year-probation on a felony count of endangering children. Due to the new conviction, FERRELL will now serve an additional eighteen (18) months in prison on those charges, for a total sentence of thirty (30) months.


Additionally, FERRELL was resentenced to six (6) months in prison on charges of theft and misuse of credit cards, to which she originally pleaded guilty in October 2019. FERRELL drew a six-month sentence which will be served concurrent with her other cases.

27-year-old ALLEXIS TELIA FERRELL (pictured), is scheduled to appear at Stark County Common Pleas Court on October 15, 2024, at 8:00 a.m.

 

Charging documents obtained by Voice For Us accuse FERRELL, society’s vomit, of killing a cat by stomping on his/her small head and then eating the creature.

 

According to the investigative report by the Canton Police Department, on the late evening of August 16, 2024, officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of 13th Street SE where FERRELL “did torture, kill, and eat a cat in a [residential] area in front of multiple people.”

 

Upon arrival, officers found FERRELL with her hands on a cat whose head appeared to have been smashed in. In the bodycam video provided to Voice For Us, an officer can be heard saying: “What did you do? Why did you kill the cat?”

 

From the investigation it emerged that FERRELL “had smashed the cat[']s head with her foot and then began to eat the cat.” One of the officers wrote on the report: “I did observe

 blood on Allexis' feet, hands, and fur on her lips.”

 

One of the officers placed the filthy murderer under arrest and transported her to the Stark County Jail and booked her on felony charges of cruelty to a companion animal.

 

The other officers remained on the scene and secured the furvictim as evidence. The humane society also responded to the scene and picked up the Voiceless Victim.

 

On August 21, 2024, a Stark County grand jury indicted FERRELL. On August 23, 2024, she pleaded not guilty.

Online records show that FERRELL is still in custody, and Canton Police confirmed that in an email.

 

The cat’s gender is not known and I struggled to find a unisex name to pay tribute to this Innocent Soul. In the end, I chose Twain, after Mark Twain who had up to nineteen cats and loved them all more than he loved people.

MARISSA O’BRIEN, LAURA THOMEN, and JAMES THOMEN SR. arrested – Nearly 200 cats found at their home

On October 19, 2022, the Winchester Police Department arrested 30-years-old MARISSA O’BRIEN, 53-years-old LAURA THOMEN, and 61-years-old JAMES THOMEN SR. after nearly two hundred cats were found at a Winsted home.


In a news release police said that it all started on June 13, 2022, when the Department received an anonymous call about a sick cat at a home on 143 Moore Avenue in Winsted.


A further investigation led animal control to respond to the scene as well. Officers noticed a strong odor of urine emanating from the property and numerous cats inside.


CBS News reports that Winchester Town Manager Josh Kelly, who helped organize the rescue of the hoarded animals, said on Facebook that a total of 189 cats, two dogs, and one ferret were removed from the home.


Winchester Police Department Chief William T. Fitzgerald Jr. told NBC News: “You couldn’t even see the floor — it was full of cats.” Chief Fitzgerald said many of the cats were sick and had eye infections and fleas.

Chief Fitzgerald explained that the family began collecting the cats because LAURA THOMEN wanted to bring them in from the cold and feed them. “It probably started out as a good idea — humanitarian type of thing — but it obviously got out of hand,” he said.


The cats were taken to the Batcheller School, which was just decommissioned and was vacant. At the school, volunteers helped clean the furbabies and veterinarians examined them.

They cats were later moved to shelters across the state and placed for adoption.

NBC Connecticut reports that sadly, one cat had to be euthanized.


Inside the home, officers also found eight people. Three of them were the aforementioned arrestees. A 6-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy were also occupying the residence and the other three occupants were not mentioned in the news release.

Police said the two children were removed and placed with relatives.


Following an extensive investigation, Winchester Police obtained arrest warrants for MARISSA O’BRIEN, LAURA THOMEN, and JAMES THOMEN SR., and an additional warrant is pending for another individual, said police.


The arrestees are each charged each with 106 counts of cruelty of animal and 2 counts risk of injury to a minor.

The trio are scheduled to be arranged at Torrington Superior Court on November 1, 2022.

GABRIEL SABORĺO SOTO gets suspended jail sentence after murdering a defenseless cat

On Monday, October 24, 2022, a monster who killed his own cat by throwing the furbaby from a 6th floor balcony, was convicted of animal cruelty. Although the despicable judge, Tatiana López, handed down the maximum possible sentence of two years behind bars, she spared 31-years-old GABRIEL SABORĺO SOTO (pictured), from serving time!

López granted the benefit of conditional sentencing to SOTO, so he will not go to jail.


The murder of the innocent cat named Ochi, happened in November 2019, when SOTO threw the furbaby almost 30 meters (100 feet) from the balcony of an apartment that he was renting at Abitu condo in the Granadilla district of the Curridabat canton, in San José.

The investigation into Ochi’s murder, however, was launched in August 2020, after a video of the incident went viral on social media.


Ochi landed on a dog park where people who saw him/her tried to help.

La Teja reports that a necropsy performed on Ochi determined that he/she had fractures to his/her jaw, coccyx, ribs and all four legs. Results additionally showed that Ochi drowned in blood and “had multiple black spots that are the product of a heavy fall.”

Ochi agonized for at least an hour before passing.


According to TELEDIARIO, SOTO was arrested on August 26, 2020, by the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) for the crimes of animal cruelty and death.


At sentencing, judge López said SOTO knew exactly what he was doing and said: “Usted sí estaba completamente en sus capacidades, sabía lo que estaba haciendo y el resultado de lo que pasaba si lanzaba el animal desde un sexto piso. Las lesiones que este ser viviente tuvo, la caída y la sobrevida luego de lanzarlo por 30 metros son factores para darle la pena.”


In English:

You were in control of all your faculties; you knew what you were doing what would happen if you launched the animal from the sixth floor. The injuries that this living being sustained after falling 30 meters, and the slim chances of survival from the fall are the contributing factors in the sentence.


And yet, SOTO is free!
