ILENA RENAE RASMUSSEN arrested for drowning her roommate’s Jumping Spider

Just when you think you’ve heard it all!

 

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old ILENA RENAE RASMUSSEN (pictured), for killing her roommate’s Jumping Spider.

 

According to the arrest report obtained by Voice For Us, the incident happened on July 15, 2024, at a residence on Pansy Avenue in Crestview. At the time of the incident, the Jumping Spider’s guardian was not home.

 

As per the arrest report, RASMUSSEN took the $70 spider and drowned him/her in “Ginger Ale.”

RASMUSSEN then texted the spider’s guardian and told her what she did.

When the roommate returned home the Jumping Spider and his/her enclosure could not be found.

 

RASMUSSEN spoke with OCS Officer Baliel over the phone and admitted to drowning the spider and refused to speak in person.

 

RASMUSSEN was taken into custody on July 29, 2024, and booked into the Okaloosa County Jail on one count of animal cruelty and one count of petit theft.

Records show that RASMUSSEN was released less than an hour after her arrest and she is scheduled to be arraigned at Crestview Courthouse on August 20, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. before Judge Jim Ward.

 

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office did not have additional information on the Voiceless Victim. I took the liberty of naming him/her Baby J for the tribute image.

DEVONE EDWARDS TOLBERT arrested - Five dogs found dead in a Henry County home he was renting

- Alabama, USA -

 

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old DEVONE EDWARDS TOLBERT (pictured).

 

Henry County Sheriff Eric Blankenship said that on July 14, 2024, deputies were called to a home off of Highway 431 north of Abbeville. TOLBERT had been renting the home and had five dogs. After he left, the landowners went to the residence to clean it and discovered five deceased dogs in various stages of decomposition.

 

According to Sheriff Blankenship, deputies had already been at the same property in mid-June 2024, after receiving reports about the dogs being malnourished. Sadly, the dogs were not taken away and TOLBERT was simply told to take better care of his dogs.  

 

TOLBERT was arrested on July 17, 2024, and charged with five felony counts of aggravated animal cruelty and bond was set at $75,000.

He was released from the Henry County Jail after posting $15,000 for each count.

 

Dogs do NOT get emaciated overnight. If they were found dead in July, they were already emaciated in June and should have been taken away then! So many scum are responsible for the PREVENTABLE death of these innocent souls!

DANTE MEADE arrested after his dog was found emaciated and abandoned in a vacant building

- New York, USA -

 

The Suffolk County SPCA arrested 23-year-old DANTE MEADE, of Brentwood, for abandoning his dog.

 

According to the agency’s chief, Roy Gross, on or about February 5, 2024, the dog, a male Stafford Shire American Pitbull named Henry, was abandoned at a vacant building and when he was found he was “emaciated with a poor body condition where the bones of the spine, ribs and pelvis were protruding.” Henry was taken to a local animal shelter.

 

An investigation into the incident led to MEADE. On July 21, 2024, MEADE was located in Manhattan and was charged with animal abuse and abandonment.

MEADE is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on August 9, 2024.
