SIAN ANDRE SPENCE, postal worker, arrested for pepper spraying dogs while delivering mail

- Florida, USA -

The Lauderhill Police Department arrested 47-year-old SIAN ANDRE SPENCE (pictured).

SPENCE, a USPS worker, is accused of pepper-spraying three defenseless dogs during a mail delivery.

Police said that on January 2, 2026, officers responded to a home in the 1600 block of Northwest 51st Avenue in Lauderhill after receiving reports that three dogs had been sprayed with a chemical irritant.

The three furvictims are a Shih Tzu-Poodle mom named Ginger and her two babies DJ and Junior.

The dogs’ guardian told officers that at the time of the incident she was inside the home and that she learned the shocking news when she later reviewed video footage.

The video showed Ginger, DJ, and Junior in their front yard barking behind a metal fence.

At one point, SPENCE sprayed the defenseless dogs multiple times. The dogs never left the yard and remained separated from SPENCE by the fence as SPENCE walked along the sidewalk.

The dogs’ guardian explained that after being sprayed, Ginger, DJ, and Junior rubbed their faces on the ground and pawed at their eyes.

Investigators identified SPENCE as the individual seen in the video and took him into custody on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. He was booked into the Broward County Jail and at the time of writing, records show he was released the following night after posting a $4,500 bond.

SPENCE is facing three counts of aggravated animal cruelty.
