MARCUS LAMONT MCMILLAN and FREDDRICK ROBINSON arrested and eight dogs rescued from a Baldwin County property

The Foley Police Department announced the arrest of 45-year-old MARCUS LAMONT MCMILLAN and 40-year-old FREDDRICK ROBINSON (pictured), both of Foley.

Police said in their press release that MCMILLAN and ROBINSON were arrested as a result of an investigation into the mistreatment of animals in their care.

Police said: “During the course of the investigation, we determined the photos posted on social media depict different properties in the Foley area.”

On the afternoon of Wednesday, January 28, 2026, as part of the investigation, police executed a search warrant at a property connected with the case. With the assistance of Baldwin County Animal Control eight dogs were rescued from the property.

MCMILLAN and ROBINSON are now facing misdemeanor animal cruelty charges.

PIO Rhea Thornton said: “We will continue to investigate the situation as a whole to ensure the safety of animals in the area. We understand the community’s concern surrounding this animal cruelty investigation. These cases are complex and often require coordination with veterinarians and animal specialists to meet legal standards before law enforcement action can be taken. We take these matters very seriously and work with area partners, like the Baldwin County Animal Control, to ensure these matters are thoroughly investigated and animal owners are held accountable if appropriate care is not provided. Please know the welfare of the animals involved are a priority, and the investigation will continue to be handled thoroughly and responsibly.”
