JERALD TREY LUCAS, teenage TikToker, arrested after social media challenge leads to the death of an innocent dog

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office arrested 14-year-old JERALD TREY LUCAS (pictured).

LUCAS was involved in a brainless and evil incident that sadly resulted in the death of an innocent dog in Deltona.

The sheriff's office said in a press release that on the night of December 20, 2025, a woman went back home to find her front door kicked in. Once inside, the woman also discovered that her 3-year-old Yorkshire terrier named Spookie was missing.

Spookie was later discovered lifeless along the road, “apparently hit by traffic while he was loose,” stated the press release.

An investigation into the incident determined that several juveniles who attended a party in the area that night, then went out to play “ding dong ditch” in the neighborhood.

According to the sheriff’s office, a neighbor's security camera captured audio of the incident.

Findings of the investigation identified LUCAS as the individual who kicked the woman’s door multiple times, forcing it open.

The sheriff’s office arrested LUCAS at school on January 27, 2026, on felony and misdemeanor charges.
