On January 1, 2025, investigators with the Bexar County Sheriff's Office arrested 17-year-old MICHAEL CHRISTOPER GEORGE (pictured).

GEORGE is accused of dragging a dog behind a motorcycle and then shooting him/her.

The arrest comes after a video surfaced showing GEORGE dragging a helpless dog behind a motorcycle while on a leash. The sheriff’s office said GEORGE was driving on a gravel road and due to the speed he was driving at, the poor dog could not keep up.

Some witnesses recorded the despicable incident and provided the video to the authorities.

According to the sheriff’s office, in the video after the dog had been dragged, multiple gunshots could be heard.

Investigators questioned GEORGE about the incident and he gave different versions of the facts. He first said that he had to shoot the dog because he/she had bitten a sibling.

GEORGE then tried to “cover up his actions by saying he had buried the dog in the woods”, said the sheriff’s office.

As the investigation progressed, investigators found the deceased dog with many gunshots and shell casings nearby.

GEORGE continued to change his statements until he eventually “admitted to shooting the dog, stating he believed it was aggressive.

GEORGE was arrested and charged with 3rd degree felony animal cruelty. He was released from the Bexar County Jail after posting bond.

I took the liberty of naming the Voiceless Victim Cinnamon for the tribute image. Should his/her given name be made public, I will rectify it accordingly.

A 17-year-old student at Vista Ridge High School, AUBREY LAYNE VANLANDINGHAM (pictured), president of Vista Ridge High School's Future Farmers of America (FFA) program, is facing felony charges after killing another student’s show goat at the school’s barn.

The senseless death of the six-month-old goat, named Willy, happened in October 2024, and was triggered by VANLANDINGHAM’s jealousy. VANLANDINGHAM accuses Willy’s family of being “cheaters” in livestock competitions.

Security footage at the school’s barn stamped October 23, 2024, obtained by the Cedar Park Police Department, showed a female student, later identified as VANLANDINGHAM, getting into Willy’s pen, straddling him, and forcing a syringe of a toxic pesticide into Willy’s mouth three times. Willy attempted to escape but VANLANDINGHAM used the syringe two more times. Footage went on to show VANLANDINGHAM leaving the barn and going back twice to take pictures of Willy.

That very day, the 15-year-old daughter of Willy’s family, told her mother that Willy was “shaking or convulsing and not acting right”, so the mother took him to the vet. The vet, however, was unable to figure out what was happening.

The following day, October 24, 2024, the 15-year-old girl heard Willy in the barn “bellowing in pain” and rushed to him, but he sadly passed away in her arms.

A caprine pathologist performed a necropsy and results confirmed that the cause of death was due to organophosphate intoxication from phosmet.

Following an investigation into Willy’s death, Cedar Park Police arrested VANLANDINGHAM on November 22, 2024. She confessed to deliberately poisoning Willy. VANLANDINGHAM was charged with one felony count of cruelty to livestock, which could lead to up to two years in prison.

She was released from the Williamson County Jail the same day of her arrest after posting a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on January 15, 2024, at 9: 00 a.m.

VANLANDINGHAM has been banned from attending Vista Ridge High School while the legal proceedings are underway.

I reached out to Ms. Crestina Hardie, Leander ISD Chief Communications Officer and she kindly provided me with the following statement that the districted issued on December 6, 2024:

Leander ISD is proud of its nationally recognized FFA program and saddened to hear of the loss of one of its livestock. In October, a goat died in the Vista Ridge High School Ag Barn. After law enforcement was notified, the district cooperated fully with the Cedar Park Police Department investigation. Upon signing a facilities use agreement, students in the program are provided badge access in order to check on animals outside of normal hours of operation. The district believes the security measures in place, including surveillance footage as well as routine supervision by agriculture science teachers, provided the evidence law enforcement needed to complete the investigation. While the district cannot comment on the status of the student, disciplinary action was taken consistent with policy and procedures. The district is grateful for the leadership at Vista Ridge HS for providing thoughtfulness and care for the community of students impacted by the event.”

I doubt VANLANDINGHAM will spend time behind bars. She is insane and I fear this is only the beginning…..

Following a months-long investigation into the discovery of fifteen dead dogs in South Boggy Creek, 51-year-old RAFAEL CANTU BAEZ-RIESS and 61-year-old FRED JOHN RIESS (both pictured), were arrested and are facing charges.

It all started back on April 14, 2024, when in the early afternoon, the Austin Police Department responded to a report regarding dead dogs found in South Boggy Creek behind a recently sold home on 2107 Shiloh Drive in South Austin.

Animal Control Officers pulled the dogs out of the creek. The poor souls were wrapped in plastic bags or pet pee pads and surrounded by trash consistent with cleaning out a house before moving out.

In the backyard of the home on Shiloh Drive, police found fourteen abandoned ducks. Under the belief that the RIESS committed an act of cruelty to non-livestock animals or abandonment, on April 22, 2024, police issued twenty-eight warrants for the duo.

According to court documents, the RIESS moved out of their home on Shiloh Drive on April 13, 2024, after buying a new home in Cameron, Milam County.

Police said that approximately a month before the discovery of the deceased dogs, the RIESS’ realtor noticed several different types of animals on the property and when the realtor asked the duo whether they needed help relocating the animals, they refused.

On June 25, 2024, the RIESS were taken into custody by deputies with the Milam County Sheriff’s Office on Austin Police Department misdemeanor warrants.

During a police interview, BAEZ-RIESS said that he and RIESS would put in the freezer the dogs who passed away until they could arrange for their cremation. BAEZ-RIESS further said that the freezer was moved to their new house and that police would find deceased animals in there awaiting cremation.

A detective with the Milam County Sheriff’s Office obtained and executed a search warrant at the RIESS’ new home on 303 Boedeker Lane in Cameron.

Officials seized the freezer and took it to the Austin Animal Center, where investigators removed thirty-three small dead dogs and bird-like animals.

Some of the dogs were wrapped in material similar to what was found around the deceased dogs in South Boggy Creek. Investigators later determined that the dogs found in the freezer were similar in size, color and breed to those found in the creek.

Investigators are now charging the RIESS with multiple misdemeanor counts for animal cruelty and felony counts for dumping the dogs in the waterway.
