48-year-old TIMOTHY D. BROWN aka TIMMIE BROWN (pictured), is accused of a crime involving the death of an innocent male Pug puppy named Goji.

On February 26, 2025, the Buffalo City Police Department received a call about a deceased puppy found at a home on Shields Avenue. The caller also shared the home with BROWN.

According to the press release by the Erie County District Attorney’s Office, authorities learned that BROWN “intentionally” struck Goji multiple times resulting in his death.

The savage was arrested and charged with one felony count of aggravated cruelty to animals and one count of harassment in the second degree (violation).

On February 27, 2025, BROWN was arraigned before Buffalo City Court Judge Carrie Phillips and then released on his own recognizance as the charges are non-qualifying offenses for bail.

A temporary protection order has been issued for the human victim, along with a “no animal” order that prohibits BROWN from “owning” or caring for any animals while the case is ongoing.

BROWN is due back in court on the morning of Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 9:30.

If convicted of the most serious charge, he could face up to ONLY two years in prison and then he will be free to resume his pathetic and useless existence.

Goji, on the other hand, won’t have a second life!

I asked the Erie County District Attorney’s Office how old Goji was and I was told: “We do not have an exact age for the deceased dogapproximately 5 months to 12 months old, which is why we referred to him as a puppy.” To my question regarding the details of the incident, the answer was: “Also, we cannot disclose any details about the cause of death due to the ongoing investigation as a necropsy has not been completed at this time.”

The Erie County District Attorney's Office pointed out that "As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law."

The Huntsville Police Department arrested 37-year-old Captain BRANDON DALE MAGILL (pictured), a Madison Fire and Rescue firefighter, for animal cruelty.

Police said MAGILL turned himself in after a warrant was issued following a report that was filed on February 20, 2025.

The police did not release additional information as the investigation is ongoing. However, according to a post by Sarah Ann on the Facebook public group What's Happening in Huntsville, Madison, Athens?, MAGILL beat a German Shepherd puppy to death and was arrested after he was caught on video.

With regard to MAGILL’s arrest, the city of Madison released the following statement:

The City of Madison is deeply concerned by the recent violent behavior of a Madison Fire and Rescue employee. This conduct is unacceptable and does not reflect the values MF&R upholds. As a result, the City of Madison has begun the disciplinary investigation proceedings by placing the individual on administrative leave.”

It’s unclear whether MAGILL is still in the position of Captain for the department.

Tips from the community allowed the Honolulu Police Department to arrest a vile individual who was seen in a viral video walking in Waianae while swinging a puppy by her tiny back legs.

Police arrested 22-year-old GERONOMY GEORGE EZRA (pictured), on February 26, 2025, and charged him with second-degree cruelty to animals. EZRA was initially booked for an unrelated warrant.

As explained by Khon2, the offence right now is a misdemeanor but “animal advocates, like the Hawaiian Humane Society, are working with lawmakers to push certain instances to a Class B Felony.”

Steph Kendrick, Hawaiian Humane Society director of community engagement, told Khon2: “It’s a source of enormous frustration for our officer team that our judicial system doesn’t take these cases more seriously and this is not a new pattern.”

HawaiiNewsNow learned from Chantell Moniz, founder and president of the nonprofit Hina’s Legacy Rescue Foundation, that a supporter was able to track down EZRA thanks to tips from the community. Ms. Moniz told HawaiiNewsNow: “There was a person who went and got the pup from the abuser and removed her and they took her to the vet. There is no chip. We don’t know where this person got her from.”

The good news is that the furvictim had been seen by a veterinarian and she is doing well.

HawaiiNewsNow reports that State Rep. Darius Kila is sponsoring a bill that would increase some misdemeanor offenses, such as the intentional death of an animal, to a felony, increasing the minimum penalty at sentencing. House Bill 698 will go for a full House vote next week. If passed, it will then go to the Senate.

Let’s keep our paws crossed!
