Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey announced the arrest of 35-years-old JOHN CLAYTON OSTEEN (pictured) for animal cruelty among other charges.

On Monday, May 8, 2023, during his latest edition of MAFO (Mess Around and Find Out), Sheriff Ivey said: “Being a criminal is bad enough, but brutalizing a small kitten for enjoyment, man that makes you a giant bagshit.”

Sheriff Ivey said that his agents had OSTEEN under surveillance as they were trying to arrest him on a warrant for unrelated crimes he had committed a week earlier.

On Monday morning, when the sheriff’s office agents went to arrest OSTEEN, one of them saw OSTEEN who came out of the house with “a small kitten on a leash.” According to the sheriff, OSTEEN started swinging the leash around with the tiny furbaby on it. OSTEEN then placed the kitten in a carrier and proceeded to spray water into the carrier “full force”.

As soon as one of the deputies made a move to intervene, OSTEEN “ran once again ‘cause he’s a big coward. He’s tough when it comes to dealing with a kitten, but when it comes to deal with law enforcement officers about put his but in jail, he runs”, rightfully said Sheriff Ivey.

OSTEEN ran to a friend’s house but deputies were able to track him down.

The sheriff’s office Animal Services Team quickly responded and rescued three kittens.

OSTEEN was booked into the Brevard County Jail on one felony count of animal cruelty as well as fleeing and eluding, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, reckless driving, driving while license revoked, and failure to register a motor vehicle.

OSTEEN is currently being held with no bond. “That’s exactly where he belongs. I wish I could put him on a leash and swirl him around like he did the cat”, said Sheriff Ivey and I DO AGREE!

OSTEEN’s initial court appearance is set for May 9, 2023, at 1:15 p.m. before Judge Kimberly Musselman.

As Sheriff Ivey said: “If you can harm an animal, especially a small animal like that, you have the evilness in you to hurt a human.”

~ Update: April 30, 2023

I have reached out to the Troy Police Department and asked why Kit was not removed from the home.

A spokesperson kindly got back to me and explained that “Kit’s guardian does not reside with the defendant, and the defendant has no other access to Kit. Kit’s home & care is otherwise completely appropriate and we trust he is being well-cared for.”

On a separate note, as I was searching for WIDO’s background, I came across a previous conviction of June 10, 2008, for rape. His identity was confirmed through my correspondence with the Troy Police Department.

~ Original story:

Following a domestic violence investigation, detectives with the Troy Police Domestic Violence Unit arrested 36-years-old PRESTON KYLE WIDO, of Latham for animal cruelty.

In a news release, police allege that WIDO “caused several, and significant, injuries to a two-month-old kitten namedKit’.”

Police said the incident happened at a residence in Lansingburgh, Rensselaer County.

Kit was taken to a veterinarian by his guardian and it was determined that the furbaby suffered “a concussion, dislocated jaw, fractured pelvis, and part of his right ear had been cut with a sharp instrument.”

WIDO is not behind bars and I hope and pray that he will not hurt the furbaby again because according to police, Kit “is now recovering with his owner at home.”

WIDO was arrested on the evening of April 27, 2023, for one count of Aggravated Cruelty to an Animal and released on an appearance ticket.

Online court records show that on April 28, 2023, WIDO appeared at Troy City Court for his arraignment before Judge Christopher T. Maier and pleaded not guilty.

WIDO is scheduled to be back in court on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 8:30 a.m.

~ Update: December 8, 2023

On October 24, 2023, Carter County District Court Judge Dennis Morris sentenced 27-years-old JAQUEZ KOREANTE LAW (pictured), for killing multiple kittens following other felony convictions.

Former District Attorney Craig Ladd who prosecuted the case, said that LAW “willfully and cruelly” killed the kittens by bashing in their tiny heads at a residence on 619 A. Street SW in Ardmore on March 8, 2023. The filthy murderer was charged with animal cruelty.

On October 13, 2023, LAW pled guilty to one felony count of animal cruelty.

Court documents obtained by Voice For Us state that Judge Morris sentenced LAW to a term of twelve (12) years, with credit for time served, in the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.

Additionally, LAW was sentenced to costs, VCA, and restitution for a total of $1,151.50.

Enjoy prison filthy murderer!

Animal abusers are toxic! Toxic people do NOT change, they only change their victims!

The Ardmore Police Department said that on March 8, 2023, Ms. Tiffany Goodrich called the police after she found two of her kittens deceased on her porch.

Ardmore Police PIO Captain Henry told News 12: “Officers responded to the area, and documented the injuries which were pretty disturbing on the two kittens.”

According to Captain Henry, Tiffany was able to identify and give the name of the individual she thought was the suspect in this crime.

Later that day police were able to locate 27-years-old JAQUEZ KOREANTE LAW (pictured), and when they interviewed him, he denied his involvement in the murder of the two kittens. Police said this “new” case was more difficult because this time they did not have proof that LAW was in fact the one who murdered the kittens.

The case, however, had a turn because Tiffany filed a protective order against LAW and during the hearing, LAW admitted to killing the kittens.

As Captain Henry explained to News 12, “Mr. Law stated that he indeed killed the victim’s kittens and was apologetic about it and stated that he wanted to confess what he had done. And he did so that day in court.”

Tiffany said it wasn’t easy to hear the confession and told News 12: “I broke down crying.”

District Attorney Craig Ladd said that LAW “willfully and cruelly” killed Tiffany's two kittens by bashing in their tiny heads at a residence on 619 A. Street SW in Ardmore.

The filthy murderer is charged with animal cruelty and court records show that he’s due back in court on April 13, 2023, at 9:00 a.m.

If convicted, this society’s vomit could face a fine of up to $5,000 or imprisonment for up to five years, or both.

The reason why Captain Henry referred to this case as a “new case”, is because this is NOT the first time that JAQUEZ KOREANTE LAW is accused of killing cats.

In fact, on May 31, 2022, Ardmore police found two kittens, a white one and a black and white one, inside his backpack. One of them was sadly deceased and the other one was injured.

At the time police said LAW was trespassing on a resident property, so she called the police.

The resident, Ms. Dava Jump, who is also Tiffany’s neighbor, said for several months, she had seen LAW through her security cameras, trespassing on her property and chasing cats around her driveway and she feared LAW was injuring cats. Then, on the evening of May 31, 2022, she called the police. She told News 12: “I called 911 immediately and I gave them my name and address and said this person that has been stalking the property is here now, please hurry, please come. And they got here in a few minutes, and they were able to get him on the property.”

Responding officers found two kittens in the backpack that LAW was carrying.

Officers reported that the kittens didn’t have access to food or water, and were likely crushed by other things in the bag. The injured kitten was taken to a local vet.

LAW was ridiculously sentenced to ONLY ninety days in jail and five years of probation.

Dava suspects that LAW is also to blame for the disappearance of her cat Gray Baby. She confronted him after she saw him grabbing the furbaby.

As reported by News 12, court documents from LAW’s previous conviction state he’s been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

He’s also been charged with domestic abuse, and court documents for that case state LAW told the victim he had committed sexual acts on cats.

Whoever allows LAW, society’s vomit, to keep bonding out, is just as guilty and is contributing to animal cruelty!
