The Cape Coral Police Department arrested 27-year-old TRAVIS KEITH FEHR (pictured).

On September 29, 2025, FEHR’s now ex-girlfriend, Libby, returned home to find her two cats, Joy and Scrumph, with some “weird injuries”, including an injured leg.

When Libby asked FEHR what happened, he answered that the cats got into a fight.

Thankfully, Libby did not buy it, so she decided to set up a security camera in the room where her furbabies normally stay in.

On the evening of the following day, Libby made a shocking discovery and called the police to report it. When officers responded to the address given, they found Libby down the street in her car. According to the report, Libby was “very worked up saying her boyfriend was beating up her cats.”

Eventually, Libby told officers that during the day, while she was not home, she saw FEHR pull one of her cats from under the bed, hold him/her on the ground and punch him/her repeatedly.

Officers asked Libby to show them the video and one of the officers wrote in the report: “Fehr is inside of the bedroom, on his knees reaching under the bed. He then pulls a cat out from under the bed and holds it down on the ground. I then observed Fehr strike the cat with a closed fist 7 times.”

Officers placed FEHR under arrest and charged him with one felony count of animal cruelty.

He was booked into the Lee County Jail and released on October 1, 2025, after posting bond.

Court records show that FEHR’s arraignment is slated to take place on November 3, 2025, in Lee County Circuit Court at 8:30 a.m. before Judge J. Frank Porter.

Libby took the furvictims to Indian Creek Pet Hospital where it was determined that Joy had trauma to her eye and mouth, while Scrumph suffered a broken leg requiring surgery.

The Havelock Police Department announced the arrest of 19-year-old Lance Corporal TAYLOR MICHAEL HEINRICH (pictured), a U.S. Marine of Havelock, and 19-year-old JASMINE VERONICA THOMPSON.

According to the press release by Havelock Police, on October 2, 2025, officers along with Havelock Animal Control responded to a report of animal cruelty in the Slocum Village community.

Following an investigation, officers determined that HEINRICH “physically assaulted and fatally injured” his 8-month-old Labrador retriever mix, named Delilah, using a cross bow.

Warrants accuse HEINRICH of killing Delilah by hitting her until unconscious with his fist before discharging a crossbow into her body.

HEINRICH then proceeded to transport Delilah’s lifeless body more than 20 miles and disposed of her in a wooded area of the Croatan National Forest.

According to Havelock Police, THOMPSON was also implicated for her role in Delilah’s disposal.

HEINRICH was charged with one felony count of animal cruelty and was issued a $5,000 secured bond while THOMPSON was charged with one misdemeanor count of animal cruelty and was issued a $1,000 unsecured bond.

Court records show the pair, of Rose Lane, are scheduled to appear back in Craven County District Court on December 3, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.

- Vermont, USA -

On the morning of Saturday, October 4, 2025, the St. Albans Police Department responded to a home on Barlow Street in St. Albans after receiving a report about a dog who had been intentionally poisoned.

The furvictim is a handsome 4-year-old Lab mix named Hank.

Hank’s human mom, Ms. Erin Langevi, recounted the shocking facts through a Facebook post and said: “This morning, at approximately 7:30 AM, while letting our dog Hank out to play in our fenced backyard, we made a horrifying discovery. Hank was eating what appeared to be large balls of fresh ground beef containing small green pellets of rat poison.

We immediately induced vomiting and rushed Hank to the vet for emergency treatment. While searching our yard, we found two additional 'bait' balls. Because our yard is fully enclosed, it is highly unlikely that these were brought in by another animal. This leads us to believe they were intentionally placed in our yard.”

An update published by Ms. Langevi on October 5, 2025, advised that Hank is back home. He is resting “surrounded by love and care.” She further said: “Hank’s follow-up bloodwork came back great today! He will continue to be monitored over the next couple of days to ensure everything remains stable.”

St. Albans Police said they are actively investigating this incident.

Ms. Langevi explained that although they do have security cameras, unfortunately nothing was captured from the front of their home. She further said that since the incident, they have installed additional cameras in the backyard.

As Ms. Langevi pointed out, they are sharing Hank’s story not only for their “personal pain,“ but to warn their neighbors.

If you have any information that can help the investigation, please come forward and contact St. Albans Police at (802) - 524 - 2166. Thank you!
