TURKESSA BLACKMON arrested on accusations of repeatedly striking a defenseless dog with a bat

The Dallas Police Department arrested 49-year-old TURKESSA BLACKMON (pictured).

BLACKMON is accused of savagely, barbarically, and unmercifully hitting a defenseless dog with a bat.

On October 12, 2025, officers responded to the 13300 block of Cloverbrook Lane in southeast Dallas after receiving an animal cruelty call.

Officers learned that BLACKMON was witnessed repeatedly striking a dog with an object outside her home. Neighbors thankfully documented the incident on video.

The dog, who is believed to be homeless and wandering the neighborhood, was wailing and lying on the ground while being beaten by BLACKMON.

Although neighbors were able to briefly care for the injured dog, it’s unclear why no one took the poor soul to the vet. Now the search is on in an attempt to find the furvictim so that he can receive medical treatment as according to neighbors, he was bleeding from the face.

On October 16, 2025, BLACKMON was arrested and charged with one felony count of cruelty to non-livestock animals. She was booked into the Dallas County Jail and released after posting a $5,000 bond.
