TIESHA LISA ZARAGOZA arrested in connection with an incident involving a French Bulldog

The Chesapeake Police Department arrested 47-year-old TIESHA LISA ZARAGOZA (pictured).

On November 17, 2025, Chesapeake Animal Control responded to the 2500 block of Narrow Street to investigate an animal cruelty report.

Officers found a French Bulldog in critical condition. ACO learned that an unlicensed person had performed a surgical procedure on the dog.

The furvictim was immediately rushed to a veterinarian but was sadly euthanized.

On December 15, 2025, ZARAGOZA was arrested in connection with the incident. According to court records she was charged with misdemeanor cruelty to animals and released after posting bond. ZARAGOZA is scheduled to appear in Chesapeake General District Court on December 22, 2025, for her arraignment at 8:15 a.m.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.

Authorities did not disclose the dog’s name, so I took the liberty of naming him/her Sable for the tribute image. Should his/her given name be made public, I will rectify it accordingly.
