Pitbull found in Pompano Beach close to death with signs of abuse and stab wounds over his body

- Florida, USA -

A young Pitbull was found almost lifeless in Pompano Beach on Friday, July 7, 2023, with multiple stab wounds to his face, chest, and torso and numerous signs of abuse.

Jonathan Giraldo is the Good Samaritan who found the male Pitbull and together with his girlfriend, Oriana Daly, named the dog Justice because they say that’s what he deserves.

He was collapsed on the ground, unresponsive”, said Jonathan.

Justice had older wounds on his eye, and he’s also missing several teeth.

Jonathan gave Justice some water and then the couple drove the furbaby to the Snapper Creek Animal Hospital. The nonprofit iHeart Animal Rescue received a call and was asked whether they could handle Justice’s medical care and they said yes. Surgery for Justice has already cost more than $5,000.

Cindy Mucciaccio with iHeart Animal Rescue spoke to 7News and explained “They’re going to be taking out his eye, an inoculation, and his scrotum was really bloody and raw. Taking that off also, and fixing the wounds that he has.

Jonathan told NBC: “He let me put him in the car and I drove him to the vet. Even if he was an aggressive dog, I couldn’t see him like that.”

Oriana did not see a mean bone in Justice’s body and told NBC: “I don’t have the capacity to understand because he is so friendly. He can’t even defend himself.”

A spokesperson for the Broward County Sheriff’s Office tells me that “The Broward Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit is investigating this incident. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact BSO Special Victims Unit Detective Christopher Favitta at 954-321-4291 or submit a tip through the SaferWatch app. If tipsters wish to remain anonymous, they can contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or online at browardcrimestoppers.org.”

Whoever did this to an innocent and defenseless dog can’t possibly have a soul or a heart. I call those individuals MONSTERS and they don’t stop with animals!

If you wish and can afford to help out with Justice’s medical care, please visit iHeart Animal Rescue’s website. Thank you!
