LINDA HARRISON GILSTRAP and DONALD REECE GILSTRAP, owners of The Corner Pet Grooming, arrested for abusing dogs while in their care at the facility

The Greenville Police Department arrested 66-year-old LINDA HARRISON GILSTRAP and 71-year-old DONALD REECE GILSTRAP (both pictured), owners of The Corner Pet Grooming on 1605 E. North Street in Greenville.

According to the Department, on March 16, 2026, officers with the Greenville Police Department's Animal Control Unit received complaints regarding dogs who were being mistreated at the business and responded to the location to investigate.

Officers reviewed video footage related to the complaints and four days later, they executed a search warrant at The Corner Pet Grooming.

According to the warrants provided to Voice For Us by the Greenville PD, LINDA HARRISON GILSTRAP is accused of punching a Shih Tzu who was completely suspended by a body hammock. The warrant went on to accuse her of hitting the furvictim three times. Moreover, she appeared to bend the furvictim’s front left paw backwards.

Another warrant accused LINDA HARRISON GILSTRAP of grabbing another dog's muzzle and ears, pushing backwards, forcing the dog's neck to move in an “unnatural and unsafe manner.”

DONALD REECE GILSTRAP’s arrest warrant stated that he punched a dog in the ribs while giving the dog a bath. According to the warrant, seconds later, he struck the dog in the back from above.

The couple were transported to the Greenville County Detention Center. LINDA HARRISON GILSTRAP was charged with two counts of animal mistreatment. DONALD REECE GILSTRAP was charged with one count of animal mistreatment.

Police tell me the investigation remains ongoing, and more charges may be forthcoming.
