The Bowling Green Police Department arrested 31-years-old KALEB SAMUAL ROSE (pictured) for animal cruelty among other charges.
In a news release, police said that on Monday, December 5, 2022, a woman went to the station to report an Emergency Protective Order violation she had taken out against ROSE.
The woman explained to police that she and ROSE had recently ended their relationship and said that on multiple occasions, ROSE forced her to have sex with him.
The woman then reported that ROSE had beaten her dog so badly that the furbaby “had bloody eyes for several days and limped for several days,” stated the release.
According to the woman, when she stepped in to help her dog, ROSE tossed her onto the kitchen table. Police were able to listen to a recording where ROSE could be heard saying: “I hit your dog because he was barking. I'm allowed to do that.”
Bowling Green Police tells me that the incident happened in September 2022, and was captured on video.
ROSE was taken into custody on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, on charges of second-degree cruelty to animals, first-degree assault, two counts of first-degree rape, first-degree strangulation, tampering with physical evidence, and fourth-degree assault.
Online records show that ROSE is being held at the Warren County Regional Jail on no bond.
