On November 9, 2022, Manchester Police responded to the Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester on 2743 Brown Avenue after receiving a report about an abused dog.
Upon arrival, officers learned that “a woman had brought in a 10-week-old puppy who was whining and yelping loudly and appeared to be having seizures,” said police in a news release.
From an investigation it emerged that the defenseless furbaby had been “hit and shaken” and sadly later died from the injuries he/she sustained.
The investigation further led to the issuance of a warrant for the arrest of 49-years-old JOSE DEJESUS CLAUDIO (pictured).
CLAUDIO was taken into custody on the night of Wednesday, November 9, 2022, and charged with cruelty to animals. His arraignment was booked for November 10, 2022, in Hillsborough Superior Court North.
