The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 39-year-old EDGAR ADRIAN FULLER (pictured).
On Saturday, June 13, 2026, El Paso County Animal Welfare responded to a property in the 700 block of Agua Del Rio Street after receiving information regarding an injured dog.
At the property, authorities found “numerous animals living in unsanitary and unsafe conditions with inadequate access to food, clean water, and proper shelter”, a news release by sheriff's spokeswoman Priscilla I. Contreras stated.
According to the release, two dogs, thirteen cats, and five pigs, were neglected and in need of medical care.
The two dogs, one female Pitbull and one male Pitbull, were injured and had not received medical treatment. The female Pitbull had a large abscess that was leaking blood and pus. The poor soul was chained and her chain was entangled on a fence preventing her from reaching a water bucket. The water in the bucket appeared green and moldy.
The male Pitbull had a collar embedded on the side of his neck, a severe cut in his left ear, and numerous scars and marks throughout his body. There was a water bucket for him but the so-called water was green and moldy.
With regard to the thirteen cats, six of them had discharge around their eyes and were wheezing. The other seven felines were found in the rear of the property lot in a mobile home which investigators said was covered in feces. Investigators also said the mobile home was hot, malodourous, and food was observed on the filthy floor. There was no water for the poor souls and there was no possible way out for them.
As for the pigs, according to the press release, they were underweight confined in an enclosure deemed inadequate for their care and welfare.
Detectives identified FULLER as the individual responsible for the animals and as result of the investigation, detectives obtained fifteen warrants for cruelty to non-livestock animals and an additional five warrants for cruelty to livestock animals. The warrants carried a combined bond of $37,000.
FULLER was arrested on Sunday, June 14, 2026, and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
On the same day of FULLER’s arrest, El Paso County Animal Welfare, assisted by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, removed thirty-five animals from the property. Sheriff Ugarte identified the animals as fourteen cats, sixteen dogs, and five pigs. All of the animals were taken for evaluation and medical treatment.
In a written statement, El Paso County Sheriff Oscar Ugarte said: “Animals depend on us for their care and protection, and there is no excuse for allowing them to suffer in these conditions. I want to thank our Animal Welfare officers and Sheriff's Office personnel for their work in rescuing these animals and ensuring they receive the care they need. We will continue to pursue cases of animal cruelty and hold offenders accountable.”
