CHRISTOPHER ANTOINE, convicted felon on probation, arrested on accusations of stomping and killing mother duck and her ducklings

On September 3, 2026, the Pembroke Pines Police Department reported on its Facebook page that officers had been made aware of a video circulating on social media from August 30, 2026, “showing a man abusing and killing several ducks.”
Police said the incident occurred near University Drive and NW 13th Street.
According to the police department’s “Need to ID” flyer, CCTV footage captured a male “intentionally disturbing an adult duck and its ducklings,” which, according to police, escalated to “the assault of the ducks, causing unnecessary torment and ultimately resulting in a cruel death.” The flyer stated that after the assault, the male walked northbound on University Drive.
Police released the disturbing video and appealed to the public for help identifying the man.
In a subsequent Facebook post, police said a Good Samaritan recognized the male pictured in the flyer and contacted the department.
According to the latest update shared by the Pembroke Pines Police Department, the man was identified as 40-year-old CHRISTOPHER ANTOINE (pictured) and is now in custody.
At the time of writing, online records maintained by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office show that ANTOINE was arrested on September 7, 2026, and booked on one count of animal cruelty causing death, pain and suffering, as well as a violation of probation.
According to Florida Department of Corrections records, ANTOINE was serving a four-year term of probation stemming from a 2024 felony criminal mischief case.
Broward County court records show that Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested ANTOINE on June 5, 2024. Broward County Circuit Judge Lorena V. Mastrarrigo sentenced ANTOINE to probation, which began on December 5, 2024. According to Florida Department of Corrections records, his probation was scheduled to end on December 4, 2028.
