On the evening of August 4, 2023, 28-years-old, STACIA AAB (pictured), former animal rescue worker, was booked into the South Central Regional Jail and Correctional Facility on animal cruelty charges.

Following an animal cruelty complaint, Kanawha County authorities responded to AAB’s home in the 1200 block of Woodland Drive. In a freezer in the basement, officials found two deceased dogs “swarming with maggots.”

Officials additionally discovered other dogs, cats, and kittens who were alive but not in healthy condition.

One dog was found severely emaciated in a crate filled with feces and urine; a mother cat was found with a broken spine and her two baby kittens were dehydrated; another cat was found without food or water.

According to WSAZ, Nautica Cohenour, a Humane Officer with the Charleston Police Department, said: “The power had been cut off since mid-June. The two dogs in the freezer were decomposed so that the scent was just so overwhelming.”

The live furvictims were taken to the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association to be examined and treated.

AAB has been arrested on twenty-six (26) pending counts of cruelty to animals.

Online records show AAB is being held on a $10,000 cash-only bond.

On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, the San Antonio Police Department arrested 43-years-old ROBERT E. MARTINEZ (pictured) on a third-degree felony charge for cruelty to a non-livestock animal.

According to the arrest affidavit obtained by Voice For Us, the day before his arrest MARTINEZ was visiting his girlfriend at the Staybridge Suites hotel, on 56 Northeast Loop 410 when they got into an argument.

During the altercation MARTINEZ was being aggressive and throwing things around the room.

Police tell me that at one point MARTINEZ went into the kitchen, picked up his girlfriend’s kitten, and threw the furbaby in anger toward her but missed. The furbaby was later found “on the floor near the wall surrounded by blood.” The innocent soul died from the injuries he/she sustained as a result of being thrown.

Like a true coward, MARTINEZ fled the scene because individuals like him hit animals and women but do not face law enforcement!

Animal Control Services responded to the scene and recovered the body of the Voiceless Victim.

A warrant was then issued for MARTINEZ’s arrest and after he was located and placed under arrest, he was booked into the Bexar County Jail.

At this time of writing, records show MARTINEZ is being held on a $10,000 bond.

According to online court records, MARTINEZ is due in court on September 13, 2023.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.

I have requested additional information about the furvictim. I will post updates as they become available.

⚠️WARNING⚠️The article contains details some of you may find distressing⚠️

On July 26, 2023, at Liverpool Crown Court Judge Brian Cummings sentenced 23-years-old LEWIS HUDSON (pictured), to only twenty-seven (27) months behind bars after the despicable monster inflicted unimaginable and sadistic abuse on a defenseless kitten over a prolonged period of time.

HUDSON pleaded guilty to two counts of animal cruelty and harassment.

According to a press release by the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) the court heard that in August 2021, HUDSON had moved in with his then-girlfriend Summer Leadbetter. Summer had a female kitten named Binx.

HUDSON began his sickening and gut-wrenching abuse on the 11-month-old kitten a few months after moving in.

As reported by the RSPCA, the abusive and tormenting episodes include leaving Binx “in the shower with the hot water running for long periods of time, shooting her with pellets he had soaked in household cleaner from his BB gun and hitting her with a mop soaked in bleach. He had also filmed himself stamping on the kitten wearing steel-toe cap boots.”

The horrific abuse on Binx continued for about eight months, said the RSPCA.

On July 20, 2022, Summer found Binx in the bathroom lying motionless and matted with blood. Binx had been hit with a shovel in the shower. “This was done with such force that some of the young animal's teeth had been broken” stated the release.

On August 15, 2022, HUDSON sent Summer a disturbing series of text messages and one of them read: “if ye don't get home now am gonna kill it.” Summer returned back to her apartment to find Binx lifeless.

The Merseyside Police Department was called and HUDSON was placed under arrest.

RSPCA inspector Anthony Joynes, who led the investigation, recovered Binx’s body.

The RSPCA reported that in his statement the inspector said: “Binx was wrapped in a bag, covered with a towel and contained within a cardboard box. I saw she had a number of fresh looking wounds around her nasal area and chin. I noted there were no obvious signs that might suggest Binx had been involved in a road traffic accident and her claws did not appear scuffed. The inside of her mouth was bloodied and I noted that both upper canines were broken. When handling Binx I noted a crisp packet type sound coming from the chest area which can be a sign of subcutaneous emphysema and indicative of chest trauma.”

A necropsy performed on the furvictim revealed that her body “was covered with cuts and bruises and she had suffered fractured ribs and a lung puncture, the latter which had led to her death.”

A report by an independent veterinarian noted that feces and blood “were reportedly seen in multiple areas of the premises, indicative that the cat was injured and mobile for a period of time immediately prior to death.”

The report went on to say: “The most likely cause of death in this animal, otherwise healthy, was a traumatic and non-accidental pneumothorax. It is clear that the animal suffered multiple, different, blunt traumas and that the animal was conscious when this occurred. Furthermore, the healing fractured rib and theagedbleeding, support the existence of a previous traumatic event to the chest, many days ahead of the fatal set of injuries listed above.”

As reported by the RSPCA, judge Cummings described HUDSON’s actions as a “sickening catalogue of cruelty to a defenceless animal,” and yet this filthy murderer was not sentenced to the maximum of five years.

The filthy murderer was also given a lifetime ban on keeping animals.

Here’s what I don’t understand, from June 29, 2021, the maximum prison sentence for animal cruelty was raised from six months to five years! This is not just an animal cruelty case. A defenseless living creature was tortured for an extensive period of time before being murdered!!!! Why wasn’t HUDSON sentenced to five years? I emailed the RSPCA and asked that very question. In an email, I was told: “The sentence that was imposed was a matter for the court to decide.”
