~ Update: June 30, 2022

I have emailed Lieutenant Nola Cottrell with the Grady County Sheriff's Office.

I asked him to forward to their PIO my email requesting information about the investigation into the dog beaten to death.

~ Update: June 27, 2022

I have emailed the Tuttle Police Department and the Grady County Sheriff’s Office and requested the following information:

1) Why the witness who recorded the act of the dog being beaten to death, waited until March 2022 to come forward?

2) When exactly the Animal Control Officer seen in the video was placed on administrative leave?

3) With regard to the dog who was beaten to death, was he/she from the shelter? Are the gender, age, breed, and name known?

4) What happened to the other dog seen in the video?

I have heard back from the Tuttle Police Department and learned that the ACO, LARRY JOHNSON, “was placed on leave on March 18, 2022.”

If I hear back from the sheriff’s office, I will post an update.

~ Original story:

The nonprofit Oklahoma Alliance for Animals (OAA) is offering a $5,000 reward in exchange for information leading to a criminal conviction of a male who can be seen in a video “showing an act of unconscionable cruelty at the Tuttle Animal Shelter in Grady County, OK”, said the organization in a Facebook post.

The Grady County Sheriff’s Office is working to identify the male whom the OAA referred to as “Eddie.”

The sickening and disgusting video shows a dog who has been beaten to death on County Road 1190, near Highway 37, on October 29, 2021. However, the video was only submitted to the authorities in March 2022. It’s not clear why the video was not immediately reported to law enforcement.

News 9 reports that a witness recorded the act in two different videos while driving past the Tuttle Animal Shelter.

The first video showed a Tuttle Animal Control Officer and an unknown man.

The ACO is seen hitting a white dog with a baton as he/she bites a brown dog.

The second video showed the unknown man hitting the white dog as he/she lays on the ground until he/she stops moving.

According to News 9, the witness told the news agency that after ending the second video, they saw the ACO put the white dog in a bag and dump him/her in a dumpster.

OAA explained in a Facebook post that the video was supplied to them in March 2022, and “Upon determining the location, the video was supplied to the City of Tuttle Police Department.”

Police acted on it and brought in the Grady County Sheriff's Office to investigate “the alleged crime”, said OAA.

News 9 reports that Major Michael Scott with Tuttle Police said the ACO was placed on leave and later resigned.

Undersheriff Gary Boggess with the Grady County Sheriff's Office said that the ACO could not identify his partner in crime.

No criminal charge has been filed related to the dog beating.

It truly infuriates me that it takes a reward to encourage people to do the right thing.

$5,000 is a lot of money the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals CANNOT do without considering all the furbabies in their care.

Why not use the same baton on the ACO and get the name of the other scum out of him!?

He knows who he is!

No wait, that would be illegal.

If you know who the other lowlife is, I beg you, come forward and speak up for the VOICELESS VICTIM. Then, donate the reward to the shelter!

Tips can be submitted to the Grady County Sheriff’s Office by leaving a message on the agency’s tip line: (405) - 224 - 0984. Thank you!

~ Update: March 5, 2023

Court records show that a Motion Hearing, presided by Judge John P. Sugg, is set to take place on March 29, 2023, at Lincoln County District Courthouse at 9: a.m.

I have added a screenshot to the gallery below.

I am truly sorry that I do not have additional updates but all the relevant people I have emailed are the rudest people I have ever dealt with!

None of the people I have emailed had the decency to respond even just to say, “I am sorry I cannot disclose any information about this case.”

~ Update: September 26, 2022

I have emailed the Twelfth Judicial District Attorney’s Office serving Otero and Lincoln Counties.

I have asked for updates on NEIL CLIFFORD SCHWARTZ’s case.

As you can see from the two screenshots I have added showing his court records, SCHWARTZ was in court on August 31, 2022, and is scheduled to be back on October 28, 2022, and October 31, 2022.

I have asked District Attorney, Scot D. Key what was the outcome of the August’s court appearance and the purpose of October’s court dates.

If I receive a response, I will post an update.

~ Update: July 5, 2022

Court records show that NEIL CLIFFORD SCHWARTZ’s pretrial conference is scheduled to take place on August 31, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. before Judge John P. Sugg in Carrizozo District Court.

I have also emailed the Otero County Sheriff’s Office and asked at what stage the case is at.

Further updates will be published as they become available.

~ Original story:

A U.S. Border Patrol agent was arrested on Friday, November 19, in connection with an animal cruelty case and is now facing felony charges in southeastern New Mexico.

NEIL CLIFFORD SCHWARTZ is accused of shooting and killing the dog of a neighboring family he had been having issues with this past summer.

An affidavit said that on October 18, the neighbor’s dog, a Labrador named Thiago, went missing from the family’s property.

Thiago’s family searched for him and since they had bought him a GPS collar, they were able to track the collar down to SCHWARTZ’s home.

Thiago’s family then confronted SCHWARTZ’s wife who asked them to leave.

KRQE reports that Thiago’s family eventually found the collar in the ditch by the highway just outside the Casino Apache Travel Center but there was no sign of Thiago.

Sadly, the family later found Thiago lifeless on Warwick Street and called the police.

An investigation revealed Thiago had died from a gunshot wound to the back of the head.

Among evidence gathered by police were security video of the travel center, dog hair from SCHWARTZ’s truck, and a dashcam from his personal vehicle.

Additionally, police matched a spent shell casing from SCHWARTZ’s home with the same bullet size that killed Thiago.

POLICE then charged SCHWARTZ with three felony counts including extreme cruelty to animals and tampering with evidence.

KRQE News 13 reached out to Border Patrol to get their reaction to SCHWARTZS’s arrest.

The agency sent a statement to the news outlet to advise they are cooperating with police and have started their own investigation into SCHWARTZ’s. Border Patrol did not disclose whether or not SCHWARTS was fired.

~ Update: September 24, 2022

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office said that on August 30, 2022, 29-years-old NATHANIEL ENNELS II (pictured), appeared in Wicomico County Circuit Court where judge Matthew A. Maciarello sentenced him in the beating death of an innocent dog in October 2021.

ENNELS, a filthy murderer, pleaded guilty to one count of felony animal cruelty and was sentenced to three years of incarceration with all but time served suspended.

ENNELS served 58 days behind bars and 268 days of house arrest totaling 326 days’ time served. ENNELS was placed on three years of supervised probation.

According to a press release by the Wicomico County States’ Attorney obtained by Voice For Us, Maciarello also signed an order that ENNELS be prevented from owning, possessing, or residing with animals for a period of 10 years, a first in the state of Maryland. It should have been a lifetime ban!

In early October 2021, ENNELS murdered a 5-year-old female miniature Schnauzer named Spanky for peeing on the floor. Deputies with the Wicomico County found a video showing ENNELS savagely punching and kicking Spanky.

Animal Control took Spanky’s lifeless body to the Humane Society of Wicomico County and a necropsy was performed. Results showed the cause of death was determined to be internal hemorrhaging of the liver and kidneys caused by blunt force trauma.

NATHANIEL ENNELS II, I have checked your court records and they show you have spent most of your life in court rooms to face a variety of charges.

Individuals like you are society’s vomit, and do not need to exist!

The life of trash like you does not matter and that’s what gives me the strength and determination to fight for animals, so that I can expose excrements like you!

~ Original story:

On Saturday, October 9, Wicomico County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of West Road in Salisbury after receiving a report about an individual beating a dog to death at the home.

Deputies learned during the course of the investigation that 28-years-old NATHANIEL ENNELS II (pictured below), became enraged after a 5-year-old miniature Schnauzer named Spanky, had urinated on the floor.

ENNELS struck the furbaby “with his hand hard enough to make the dog screech,” said the sheriff’s office in a news release.

The release also stated that ENNELS was seen kicking Spanky multiple times while yelling at him to get into a cage.

When Spanky did not go into the cage, ENNELS was also seen roughly jabbing the furbaby with a broom handle at least 15 times while he continued to yell at the pooch to get into the cage.

The sheriff’s office said that Spanky was heard whining and screeching as loud as he possibly could while ENNELS continued to yell at him and making threats toward the defenseless creature.

According to the sheriff’s office, when the deputies arrived at the home, ENNELS refused to answer the door so another family member had to respond.

ENNELS then refused to cooperate with the investigation so the family member went to get Spanky and brought him to the deputies.

They also learned that before their arrival, ENNELS tried to clean up the area where the incident took place.

Spanky’s killer was placed under arrest, transported to the Central Booking Unit to be processed, and was then taken in front of the District Court Commissioner.

The sheriff’s office said that following an initial appearance, ENNELS was detained in the Detention Center without bond.

ENNELS was charged with:

Aggravated Animal Cruelty

Animal Cruelty

Animal Cruelty – Cause Suffering or Pain

Animal Cruelty – Failure to Provide Veterinary Care

Obstruct and Hinder

Alter Physical Evidence
