Unnamed woman facing animal cruelty charge for abandoning a puppy in a Groveland alley

Groveland Police Department Chief Jeffrey Gillen announced that the Department will “summons a woman to court for abandoning a puppy in an alleyway.”


On the afternoon of Monday, April 17, 2023, Groveland Police received a report about an abandoned Australian Shepheard puppy. Officers responded to Sweet Paws Rescue on 310 Main Street in Groveland and learned the puppy was found in an alleyway near the rescue facility.


In a brief news release of April 18, 2023, police said that they were “seeking information about the woman captured on surveillance footage in connection with the incident.”


Police described the suspect as a blonde female driving a black Mazda SUV who was last seen wearing a black Maine School of Law sweatshirt. Police said: “The woman is sought on suspicion of animal cruelty.”


Thankfully, the puppy was not injured and no additional details were released.


In an updated press release police said that the woman, whose identity has not been disclosed because she has not been arrested, will be summoned to appear at the Haverhill District Court at a later date to face the charge of animal cruelty.

TAMMY PATTERSON arrested after several animals were found in filthy conditions without food or water

On April 12, 2023, the Blakely Police Department was alerted to a case of possible animal abuse at a residence on South Church Street in Blakely and an investigation was launched.


In a news release, the Blakely Police Department said that officers “gathered supporting evidence of several dogs being kept in unsanitary conditions, illegally tethered, and with inadequate shelter, food and water sources.”


While a local volunteer assisted Blakely Police on site in caring for the furvictims, the Atlanta Humane Society was contacted for further assistance.


In a post published on their Facebook page, the Atlanta Humane Society explained that its Animal Protection Unit responded to the scene and found eighteen animals “living in filth.”


“They were helpless … left outside … chained to the sides of the house and to trees in the yard with no access to food or water. When we walked inside the house we found 8 cats locked inside a windowless bedroom. There wasn’t a single litter box in sight … only dirty newspapers”, read part of the post.

The nonprofit further said that its veterinarian “lovingly assessed each animal and provided them with much-needed medical care.”


According to police, “All of the dogs now have new homes or have arrangements for new homes.” As for the cats, “arrangements were made for their care and shelter at another location.”


In connection with this case police arrested 60-years-old TAMMY PATTERSON (pictured), of Blakely. PATTERSON was taken into custody on April 14, 2023, and booked into the Early County Jail on eight counts of Cruelty to Animals.


Police said PATTERSON surrendered all the animals.

DENISE NICOLE FRAZIER filmed herself raping a male dog

In this article there are references to “sexual act” and “sexual intercourse.”

For the record, I totally disagree with those definitions as I firmly believe that they should be called what they are, RAPE!


On April 4, 2023, Jones County Sheriff’s Deputy Regina Newton received information regarding a woman having “sexual intercourse” with a dog and that the acts were caught on Snapchat videos.


During the initial investigation, Deputy Newton was able to identify 19-years-old DENISE NICOLE FRAZIER, (pictured), as the suspect and tracked her down at a home on Norton Road in Laurel.

When FRAZIER was questioned, she admitted she was the one in the video and said she had been forced to participate.


In one of the videos received by Deputy Newton, FRAZIER can be seen having “intercourse” with a German shepherd and when Deputy went to FRAZIER’s residence, she saw one there.


FRAZIER told Deputy Newton that the videos were taken a year ago. However, screenshots of iCloud-shared photos of the videos showed a range of dates between February 23-28, 2023.

According to officials three separate dogs were seen on video.


As part of the investigation, a search warrant was executed at FRAZIER’s home and an arrest warrant was subsequently issued.


Based on their findings, investigators concluded that FRAZIER “willfully, unlawfully and feloniously had sexual intercourse with one or more domesticated animals, one being a male German shepherd and recorded the intercourse via an electronic device on or about Feb. 23-Feb. 28, 2023.” One of the sickening videos was filmed in a Jeep outside Freedom Baptist Church.


The Jones County Sheriff’s Department arrested FRAZIER on April 5, 2023, and charged her with unnatural intercourse – aggravated cruelty of an animal.


The sheriff’s office said some videos may have been made in other counties. Those counties have been alerted, and more charges may be added.


FRAZIER was transported to the Jones County Adult Detention Facility where she remained until the afternoon of Thursday, April 6, 2023, when she had her initial court appearance.

Judge Grant Hedgepeth set FRAZIER’s bond at $25,000. She was also ordered to stay away from animals until after her trial.

If found guilty, FRAZIER could spend up to 10 years in prison.


Lead Investigator Sergeant J.D. Carter with the Jones County Sheriff’s Department told WDAM they have found no evidence that FRAZIER was forced to make the videos.


Sgt. Carter said: “In my 17 years in law enforcement, this is one of the most disturbing cases that I’ve ever investigated. JCSD is in possession of several videos that are so graphic that we are not at liberty to release them or even discuss them.”


The three dogs at the residence were removed and taken to Sawmill Animal Hospital in Laurel.
