A 3-month-old Australian cattle dog got her head stuck through the middle of a spare tire rim.

It happened Wednesday, January 22, in Coachella.

Jose Cisneros, Riverside County Animal Services officer, responded to the scene.

He tried to use oil to lubricate the pup's head in hopes of slipping it through the center hole of the tire.

The poor furbaby appeared to have a swollen neck so the officer took her to the Coachella Valley Animal Campus where the pooch, now named Wheelie Pup, was sedated.

A Riverside County Fire crew was called in.

Firefighters Virgil Messer and Tony Bribiesca used a sawzall to cut out the wheel and rescued Wheelie Pup.

The furbaby ate some food after being freed and will remain under observation.

- St. Mary’s Island, England -

On New Year’s Day a member of the public spotted a seal pup trapped between rocks at St Mary's Island in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside.

As you can see from the pictures, the sweet little face of the baby pup was sticking out of the rocks waiting for someone to save him.

The Good Samaritan alerted the staff at the lighthouse who then called in St Mary’s Seal Watch (SMSW).

Volunteers rushed to the scene.

They wrapped a blanket around the adorable baby seal’s face and jaw to reduce stress to the young mammal and to stop him from biting the volunteers.

A spokesperson from SMSW said: "Even at this young age seals are very heavy and have extremely sharp teeth and give a nasty and dangerous bite. We couldn’t just pull it out as this could result in injury to either the seal or us."

The volunteers put a plan in place to stop the seal from sinking any further into the hole, and then they gently lifted him out.

Once rescued, the pup was first examined by British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR), and then released back into the sea.

"Normally when seals appear stuck, they will manage to get themselves out, but this poor thing was well and truly trapped,” said a spokesperson from SMSW.

A spokesperson from SMSW also said: "It is likely that having been spooked and attempting to get across the rocks from where it was resting that young pup misjudged the hole it was trying to cross and slid backwards. When found, it was facing up with just its head out of the hole.”

"We regularly warn of the risk to seals when they are spooked as a result of disturbance and how their erratic and unpredictable movements when in a panic can result in injury.

"Luckily this little one was spotted early and with volunteers on site we were able to rescue it swiftly."

Thank you all for saving this baby.

There are evil teenagers all around the world who take unexplainable pleasure in hurting, abusing, and killing innocent animals and then there are the good ones with a huge heart who go out of their way to save precious lives.

18-year-old Caleb and 19-year-old Micah Lovegrove are a couple of good guys who are grateful to nature and appreciate everybody living in it!

News outlets report that the two kindhearted cousins have saved a carload of injured koalas from the Kangaroo Island's decimated Flinders Chase National Park.

storyful reports that: “Lovegrove and his family started an impromptu rescue mission and have been helping the marsupials by locating as many of them as possible so they can be brought back to his neighbor, who has a permit to care for native animals.”

A video which was also shared on YouTube, shows frightened koalas huddling inside the car.

India Today reports that Micah and Caleb told Ladbible that they saved around 20 koalas.

A lot of innocent animals have lost their lives and home even though some people like to make a distinction between the native ones and the “introduced” ones, they all are innocent and victims like everybody else, and are in desperate need of help!!!

Thank you Caleb and Micah for saving precious lives.

Please continue doing so regardless of their ID!!!
