Thanks to Johnny Mathis, his neighbor’s dog is alive.

CNN reports that on Monday, December 9, 27-year-old Johnny Mathis was coming home from work and had just parked his car in his apartment complex's underground garage.

He then took the elevator to his apartment on the ground floor.

When he got off, he saw a woman and her dog about to get in the elevator.

Johnny told CNN: "When she got on, I was looking at the dog, because it was a cute dog." "I noticed the leash was kinda long but I didn't think it wasn't going to make it on the elevator or anything."

The woman was not looking at her Pomeranian and did not hold the door for her furbaby so when she got in and the door closed, her dog remained outside with his long leash caught in the door.

A surveillance camera captured Johnny immediately rushing to the pooch.

He can be seen grabbing the leash and struggling while he tries to remove it.

Johnny said that the woman came back up and thanked him for rescuing her baby.

The next day he went to his apartment leasing office and explained what happened.

Personnel went to take a look at the security video.

Thank you Johnny for saving this precious life!

On Thursday, November 21, a burro ended up stuck in a sinkhole in Reche Canyon north of Moreno Valley.

John Welsh, spokesman for the Riverside County Department of Animal Services, said that a resident noticed the animal’s head and neck peeking from underground and alerted the authorities.

It's believed that the poor donkey may have been grazing and walked over a spot of soil compromised by heavy rainfall from the day before causing him to fall into the crevice.

Los Angeles Times reports that Mr. Welsh said animal control officers were getting ready to use shovels to dig a ramp for the burro to come out of the hole, when a six-man crew from Temecula-based Inland Erosion Control Inc. that was working nearby stepped in to help.

After the beautiful and scared donkey was free, Mr. Welsh said: “The burro was able to scurry out — it almost pranced out — and did not appear to have any injuries.” “So that was a very happy moment right there.”

The rescued baby was then able to join the rest of his friends.

Many thanks to all of you who rescued this precious life!

You don’t hear about these kinds of reunions every day!

Robert Wilson got separated from his cat Chebon when he went missing in May 2012.

Mr. Wilson moved to Ohio one year later, he delayed the move hoping to find his furbaby.

A few days ago, Ms. Gina Dillon, a Ventura County resident, found Chebon on the side of the road playing with a couple of kids.

At that point Gina was unaware that Chebon had been missing for 7 years.

Once she realized that the furbaby was in poor condition, she brought him to the Ojai Village Veterinary Hospital.

Staff scanned Chebon, who is now 19 years old, and discovered he was chipped!

Once Mr. Wilson received the phone call from the shelter, he was on the next flight out of Ohio on the way to California to pick up his baby.

I watched the video and the point when Chebon gets out of the box to climb on to his daddy just melted my heart.

Many thanks to Gina for stepping in and making this reunion possible.
