The Shiloh Police Department is looking for 21-year-old TYREECK A. MCCRAY (pictured below), accused of felony animal abuse.
According to the Department’s press release, on December 1, 2020, they received an email with information alleging animal abuse at a house in the first block of Sarpy Road in Shiloh.
An investigation led to the discovery of a dead 2-month-old female kitten, and a 6-month-old female terrier puppy severely injured.
The puppy’s guardian could not afford the medical expenses so the furbaby was surrendered to St. Louis Stray Rescue.
The case was presented to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s office for review and two arrest warrants for MCCRAY were finally issued last month.
The Department announced in a Facebook post that on March 30, Assistant States Attorney Elizabeth Nester issued a two-count warrant for Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, both Class 4 Felonies.
Police said the warrants were reviewed by St. Clair County Judge John O’Gara who set MCCRAY’s bond at $150,000.00 with 10% applying.
TYREECK A. MCCRAY, of the 1500 block of Scoter Court in Swansea IS NOT IN CUSTODY.
