Two puppies beaten to death and one in critical condition in another brutal animal abuse case

In another horrific case of animal cruelty in Greece, two innocent puppies have died and another one is fighting for his life.

In the town of Psatha in western Attica, on Wednesday, December 2, the Animal Welfare Association of Megara was alerted to three puppies who appeared to have been poisoned.

A volunteer rushed to the scene and found three stray puppies in a pool of blood.

It was too late to save two of them.

The other furbaby, named Brave, is in critical condition and is fighting for his precious life.

In a brief video published by EN24 News he can be seen and heard crying in pain while someone tries to comfort him. It’s truly heartbreaking!

The volunteer also saw two other puppies with visible abrasions on their bodies.

Sadly, they ran away. The volunteer tried to catch them but considering their ordeal they were understandably frightened.

The Animal Welfare Association of Megara denounced the fact that no one in the area is coming forward to expose the culprits and said that silence equals complicity.

SKAI.gr reports that a necropsy performed on the deceased furbabies revealed that they suffered internal bleeding, broken ribs, multiple abrasions, ruptured lung and liver.

The babies eventually succumbed to internal bleeding.

Reportedly, these puppies were known in the area and their mom has been tortured by someone who cruelly cut her ears off and then dumped her.

I would like to know why this poor mom was not picked up by a shelter and spayed!!!

The source I used for this story reports that the mom has delivered more than 40 puppies who had been adopted out by the welfare organization called ZEM (ZOOFILIKI ENOSI MEGARON).

ZEM requested the intervention of the prosecutor to find those responsible for this senseless brutality.

Ms. Manoli, president of the Zoophilic Association of Megara, told SKAI.gr that she cannot fathom how can someone be capable of beating a puppy to death.

She said, the culprit killed puppies in the wood and then probably went back home to his family with bloody hands and live his life as if nothing happened.

She asked how long they will go unpunished for.

She then added that this story does not reflect a civilized society and is urging the community to break their silence and come forward.

“Violence has many forms and whoever abuses an animal is a matter of time to do the same to a human being”, she said.

Some of you may remember that at the beginning of November I posted that Greece has passed a law which will make serious animal abuse a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

These monsters who killed these precious babies cannot remain free.

I refuse to share the planet with people who abuse, torture, harm, and kill animals.

They need to be caught!

You don’t have to love animals, but at least do not hurt them!
