TALEXY MCELROY arrested on charges of extreme cruelty to an animal

- New Mexico, USA -

On Thursday, May 20, authorities arrested 22-year-old TALEXY MCELROY (pictured below), on charges of extreme cruelty to an animal.

KRQE reports that police said that MCELROY took her dog to a veterinary clinic in Clovis for treatment on Thursday.

The furbaby had a chain embedded in their neck.

According to Yahoo News, the veterinarian advised MCELROY that the treatment would require sedating the dog and removing the chain with bolt cutters.

At that point, MCELROY loaded the dog in her vehicle and left.

The vet then called the police.

When officers went to the female’s residence and animal control officers arrived, MCELROY “obstructed their path into the gated residence”, reports Yahoo News.

Not only did MCELROY refuse to cooperate, but, when an officer attempted to place her under arrest, she resisted being handcuffed.

MCELROY then complained of injuries and was taken to Plains Regional Medical Center before she was booked at the Curry County Adult Detention Center.

The evil female was released from the CCADC on Friday, May 21, on a $2,000 bond.

She is due in Curry County Magistrate Court on Thursday, May 27, for a preliminary examination.

MCELROY also faces misdemeanor charges of battery upon a peace officer and resisting, evading or obstructing an officer.

What a fine citizen!
