RSPCA launches an appeal in a case of a young puppy beaten by a group of teenagers in Stokesley

- North Yorkshire, England -

The RSPCA is asking for help to find a group of teenagers responsible for beating a defenseless puppy.

A witness saw the despicable teenagers in Sowerby Crescent in Stokesley at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, beating a young pup and bought him from them to get the pup away from harm.

The Good Samaritan then alerted the RSPCA.

The 5-month-old furbaby Patterdale terrier wasn’t microchipped or wearing a collar and ID tag as is now required by law.

RSPCA Inspector Clare Wilson said:

The poor pup had bruising to his abdomen but, more significantly, he had a very swollen and infected penis, and would have been in a lot of pain.

It’s thought this injury had been caused by another animal about a week previously. He also had some scarring on his face so we think he was probably living with other dogs.

Sadly, vets determined that the tissue was now necrotic so there was no other option but to put him to sleep.”

Anyone with information related to this case, please come forward and speak up!

Please call the RSPCA appeal line on 0300 123 8018. Thank you!
