REWARD offered in the case of an alligator found tied up and impaled with arrows

On Tuesday, April 28, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a large injured alligator in the pond behind a residence on Oak Hill Loop in Fort Myers.


Responding deputies discovered an 11-foot alligator with two arrows stuck in his side, and his snout and feet had been tied with a rope.


Florida Fish and Wildlife officers and deputies safely removed the reptile from the pond.
