Reward offered for information leading to the identification of the lowlife who threw a dog from a moving vehicle

- Pennsylvania, USA -

The Bucks County SPCA is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the identification and subsequent arrest of the lowlife who threw a defenseless dog from a moving car.

Tullytown Police described the incident as “not only cruel but criminal” and said that a witness reported it happened around 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, along the 8500 block of Old Bristol Pike.

According to police, the dog was left abandoned on the dark road after being thrown.

Officers picked up the furvictim and took her to the Bucks County SPCA shelter in Lahaska. The shelter said the dog has been examined by its veterinarian and “is receiving treatment for minor wounds likely resulting from being thrown from a car, as well as other serious pre-existing medical conditions.” The Bucks County SPCA is also deeply concerned the poor soul may have experienced cruel treatment prior to this violent act.

Both Tullytown Police and the Humane Law Enforcement team of Bucks County SPCA are investigating and are asking the public for assistance in identifying the vehicle or the individual responsible.

Police said charges will be pursued against anyone found to be involved in this heinous incident. So, residents and drivers of the area involved, let’s get to work and check dash camera footage or surveillance video for suspicious activities. Please, email any information to Officer John Crichton. Thank you!

In a subsequent Facebook post, Tullytown Police advised that “The community response has been overwhelming, with well over 1000 tips, messages, and offers to help.”

Police also said that that in view of the volume of information received, investigators are actively reviewing every single tip. The Department added that it “maintains a zero-tolerance stance on animal abuse, and we treat any and all crimes in our community with the same level of commitment and thorough investigation.”
