Since I created Voice For Us, the only advice that my daughter has always given me and that I have NEVER followed has been: “Just report the facts, leave your emotions and opinions out!

How can I possibly control my emotions when an adult male who knows about grief and pain and demands respect for his useless life, is then caught on video inflicting unimaginable suffering upon a small living being unable to dial for help!?

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 39-years-old LOTY LAMOUR (pictured). In a news release the sheriff’s office said LAMOUR is the suspect seen in video throwing a cat high into the air several times over a pool. According to the release, the furbaby, named Coco, can be seen “being submerged in the water and struggling to get out of the pool.😡”

According to court records the incident took place on July 6, 2022.

WPTV reports that Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control said LAMOUR refused to surrender Coco so a search warrant was obtained for his home and Coco was safely and successfully taken away from his/her abuser.

Coco was turned over to PBCACC for medical evaluation and a veterinarian reported that Coco suffered respiratory impairment from being submerged in water, causing him/her repeated pain and suffering.

LAMOUR, of 10917 Winding Creek Way in Boca Raton, was arrested on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on one Felony count of aggravated animal cruelty.

He was released a few hours later after posting a $3,000 bond.

As the sheriff’s office said: “Let this serve as an example that we don't take animal cruelty lightly.”

Coco is available for adoption and if you are ready to show him/her what love is, please give Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control a call at: (561) - 233 - 1200. Thank you!
