Updated: Oct 16, 2023

- Texas, USA -

The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-years-old LINDSI NICHOLE WALLIS and her mother, 41-years-old CHRISTINA MARIE LINDSEY (both pictured).

According to court documents obtained by Voice For Us, the two females were hired to care for another family’s animals while the family was on vacation. Mother and daughter were supposed to begin their service on July 8, 2023, and visit the other family’s home twice a day. Court documents say that WALLIS and LINDSEY were to be paid $200 to feed, water, and care for a cat, two dogs, a fish, and let the dogs out on each visit. Court documents identified the two dogs as Molly and Marshall.

When the family that hired WALLIS and LINDSEY returned from their vacation, they found Molly deceased and Marshall on the floor unable to move due to severe dehydration.

The family found urine, feces, and vomit on the floors. Furthermore, there was no food or water for the animals.

After reviewing home security footage, not only did the family discover that WALLIS and LINDSEY only went to the house once a day, but they stopped going altogether from July 13, through July 15.

Online records show that WALLIS and LINDSEY were arrested on Thursday, October 5, 2023, and booked into the Taylor County Jail on six counts of animal cruelty. The females were released the same day after posting $36,000 bond each.

During an interview, WALLIS admitted to leaving Molly and Marshall outside, chained, overnight when temperatures at the time hit 100 degrees.
