FARHAD MIRZA DAVID DEIHIM arrested after shooting his dog in the face

During a press conference held on April 23, 2024, Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno announced the arrest of 41-years-old FARHAD MIRZA DAVID DEIHIM (pictured).
Sheriff Marceno said that on April 22, 2024, just after midnight, deputies responded to a Lehigh Acres home “in reference to a disturbance where a subject was threatening to shoot everyone inside the residence” stated the arrest affidavit obtained by Voice For Us.
When DEIHIM was found to have an affair outside of a 13-year relationship, he threatened to shoot his fiancée, two juveniles, and the family dog, a young Pitbull mix named Louie.
Deputies learned that Louie had been shot and the incident was captured on video.
“The video surveillance showed exactly what this sick bastard did. And I must warn you, the video you are about to see is beyond disturbing,” said Sheriff Marceno.
The footage showed DEIHIM and Louie on the porch. DEIHIM can be seen standing facing away from Louie. At some point, DEIHIM turns around and shoots Louis who can be heard crying in pain while running away.
“The screams of pain continue even after the video cuts out,” said Sheriff Marceno.
During a search of the home, Louie was found hiding behind a couch and “gushing blood from his neck and face,” said Sheriff Marceno. He then added: “The dog showed zero aggression and only wanted to be loved.”
Louie was immediately transferred to Blue Pearl Pet Hospital.
Sheriff Marceno said: “Even with this life-threatening injury, Louie was sweet and loving to everyone that he encountered. Veterinarians are saying that Louie will make a full recovery, but will need some time to fully heal. Our friends at Lee County Domestic Animal Services are caring for Louie and are reporting that he is socializing well.”
The two juveniles inside the home were safely removed.
DEIHIM is facing aggravated animal cruelty charges. Records show he was released from the Lee County Jail and according to court records, DEIHIM is scheduled to appear at Lee County Circuit Court on May 28, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. before Judge J. Frank Porter.
