~ Original story:

On Sunday, October 8, 2023, the Nashville Metro Police Department arrested 38-years-old LEANGELO L. RAMEY (pictured).

Police said they received a call from a neighbor about a woman who was crying and saying that her dog was dead.

Officers were dispatched to the given location and upon arrival, they spoke with the woman that the caller heard crying. She told officers that she was sleeping when she heard a banging noise and her dog yelping. The woman went on to say that when she went outside, she found her dog dead and that RAMEY told her he had killed her dog.

Officers also spoke with the woman’s 16-year-old son. The young man told officers that he was sleeping at the time of the incident and like his mother, he also heard a noise and their dog yelping. He explained to officers that their dog was found lifeless, underneath a five-gallon bucket. According to police, the young man went on to tell officers that RAMEY hit the dog in the head multiple times with the broken end of a shovel, leaving some of the dog's hair still on the shovel.

RAMEY was not present while officers were on the scene.

When he returned, police were still investigating and RAMEY admitted to killing the dog. According to the affidavit obtained by Voice For Us, when officers asked him the reason for his actions, RAMEY said because he was “tired.”

The murderer was placed under arrest and booked into the Davidson County Jail on one felony count of aggravated animal cruelty. Bond was set at $5,000 bond.

Court records show that the murderer is expected back in Davidson County Criminal Court on October 16, 2023, at 9:15 a.m. before Judge Rachel L. Bell.

I have sent out a few emails requesting additional information regarding the Voiceless Victim. If I receive a response, I will post an update.
