JOSHUA DANIEL PENA-CEDILLO arrested after he killed and then beheaded the family cat

- Florida, USA -

On Thursday, April 23, Clearwater Police Department arrested 22-year-old JOSHUA DANIEL PENA-CEDILLO (pictured below) and charged him with felony animal cruelty.

PENA-CEDILLO killed his family’s cat named Cinnamon, who had been with the family for five years.

After killing Cinnamon, PENA-CEDILLO then decapitated the poor furbaby using an ax, and finally, he taped the tiny head to a stick in the backyard.

The Department wrote in their Facebook post that PENA-CEDILLO’s stepfather made the gruesome discovery in the backyard of the family’s home on 1229 Sedeeva Circle North.

When deputies questioned the sicko, he gave two different versions of how Cinnamon was killed.

He first said that he put him in a plastic bag for 30 minutes until he died.

Then, he said that he used an ax to cut the cat’s head and tried to impale Cinnamon on a stick, but that didn’t work, so he used the tape instead.

After killing Cinnamon, the disturbed subject cut off the head of a stuffed animal he had as a child and put it on a stick next to Cinnamon.

The Department wrote that when deputies asked PENA-CEDILLO why he did that, he answered that he wanted to show someone living with him what he was capable of.

PENA-CEDILLO is being held in Pinellas County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond and is also on hold for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
