Help Your Pets Cope With Summer Heat

Updated: Sep 18, 2019

We must remember that dogs are vulnerable to injuries and illnesses related to hot weather including sunburn, paw pad burns, and the most dangerous condition which is heat stroke. It can cause seizures, organ failure, hemorrhages, blindness, brain damage, convulsions and even death.

Please keep your eyes open for pets left in parked cars and call for help. Drivers, check underneath your vehicle for cats seeking shade from the sun. Finally, report any situation in which animals are not adequately cared for to handle the heat. Thank you!
