ERIC PETERSON facing animal cruelty charges after two Pitbulls found underweight and living in filth
- Nevada, USA -
On January 25, 2021, Las Vegas Metro Police arrested ERIC PETERSON (pictured below), in the 2000 block of E. Charleston Boulevard in Las Vegas, for committing “willful and malicious torture to maim/kill” an animal.
At the time, 8NewsNow reported that this was a developing story as police did not reveal details about what PETERSON did.
The only information disclosed by the authorities was that this was the third animal case against PETERSON.
KTNV now reports that on January 20, a security guard who was conducting his daily foot patrol of the property where he worked, smelled a foul and rotting odor coming from an apartment.
After knocking on the door and not getting a response, the security guard feared someone had died so, he obtained the key to the apartment to check what happened.
Inside the apartment, there were two Pitbulls, later identified as a female named Bailey, and a male named Brisco.
The security guard observed that the furbabies did not have food or water, and there was feces and urine all over the apartment.
Thankfully, the man removed the dogs and alerted animal control.
As reported by KTNV, the arrest report states that Bailey was severely underweight and had injuries from possible dog fighting.
She also had several scars and was bleeding from her mouth.
Bailey was shaking and afraid but friendly towards the officers.
Brisco was underweight and had an open wound on his neck and mild dental disease.
PETERSON is scheduled to appear in court on February 16.
