EDWARD CHIEPPO arrested after four dogs were found suffering from several severe medical conditions

- Connecticut, USA -

An investigation into multiple sick dogs led to the arrest of 34-year-old EDWARD CHIEPPO (pictured below).

Hamden Police Department Captain Ronald Smith told Westport News in an email that in July 2020, Hamden Animal Control Division responded to a home on Rockview Road after being alerted to sick dogs.

Officers found four Pitbulls.

The oldest furbaby was severely emaciated, dehydrated, and was infested with fleas.

The younger furbabies were found to be suffering from several conditions including skin inflammation, severe dermatitis, lungworm and flea infestations.

Sadly, the older Pitbull had to be euthanized due to his condition.

As reported by Westport News, following the investigation, conducted by former Hamden Assistant Animal Control Officer Parris Gibbs, police secured an arrest warrant for CHIEPPO.

CHIEPPO was arrested on Thursday, April 15, and charged with four counts of cruelty to animals.

Westport News reports that CHIEPPO was released on a $2,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Meriden on May 13, 2021.

And the question is always the same, why get animals if you are not going to love them and care for them?
