DUSTIN TYLER EDWARDS killed his dog by dragging the furbaby behind a vehicle

- Virginia, USA -

An innocent dog died after being SENSELESSLY and CRUELLY dragged behind a vehicle.

In connection with this murder, the Bristol Virginia Police Department arrested 22-year-old DUSTIN TYLER EDWARDS (pictured below).

On the evening of Sunday, April 18, officers responded to reports about a dog who was being dragged by a vehicle in the area of Commonwealth Avenue Extension.

Witnesses’ attempts to stop EDWARDS were unsuccessful until one citizen was able to stop the vehicle at a business on Euclid Avenue.

Unfortunately, at that point the tether attached to the back of the vehicle was broken and the furbaby was no longer attached.

The dog was later found after EDWARDS’ route was retraced.

The poor soul was discovered lying in the roadway on Spurgeon Lane but before she/he could receive medical treatment, she/he succumbed to the injuries sustained.

WJHL reports that EDWARDS told police the dog was his and that the death was “accidental.”

The filthy murderer was charged with one felony charge of animal cruelty causing death or injury.

A press release by the Bristol Virginia Police Department on Monday, April 19, states that EDWARDS is being held in the Bristol, Virginia Jail without bond.
