Cape of Good Hope SPCA are looking for the person responsible for stabbing a pony

- South Africa -

The more I read and write about animal cruelty stories, the more I hate the human race!

On Saturday, April 25, the nonprofit organization ‘Cape of Good Hope SPCA’ received a disturbing call from someone reporting that their pony had been stabbed.

Inspector Jeffery Mfini and Inspector Emma Linsell rushed to Macassar to investigate.

They found a male pony who had been stabbed in the neck multiple times, most likely with a screwdriver.

The poor pony was immediately transported back to the SPCA where his wounds were shaved and treated.

A reassuring update was recently posted by the shelter.

They filmed the beautiful baby at the SPCA farmyard and said that he is doing a lot better thanks to the care and treatment of their veterinarians, the animal hospital, and the Horse Care Unit staff.

His wounds are being cleaned every day, and he is on antibiotics.

He is feisty, and he is getting all his energy back.

He has a lovely nature despite the horrific ordeal he experienced.

The pony is expected to make a full recovery.

The nonprofit wrote on their Facebook page: “We don't know why this Pony was stabbed in the neck today...... But we do know he did nothing to deserve it.”

The organization is now looking for the person(s) responsible for this senseless and heinous act.

Anyone with information related to this case can call 0217004158 or 0833261604.

Reports can be submitted anonymously. Thank you!
