24-year-old CALVIN RAY HOCUTT (pictured below), was arrested Friday, April 3, following an investigation about a dog being shot.
On March 22, deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to follow-up on a shooting in a property on Brook Terrace Road.
Deputies discovered a dead dog.
HOCUTT had shot the poor furbaby who died due to a single gunshot wound.
The offender was charged with a felony count of cruelty to animals.
His bond was set at $3,000, secured.
