CALEB SHUK sentenced to probation after he senselessly and cruelly killed an innocent bat

- New York, USA -

The Putnam County SPCA announced the conviction of 19-years-old CALEB SHUK (pictured) whom they arrested on May 4, 2021, and charged with torturing and killing a bat.

In April 2021, an officer with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Police contacted the Putnam County SPCA in regard to a sickening Snapchat video which showed an adult male (later identified as SHUK), killing a bat resting against a rock wall in the Sunken Mines Caves area of Putnam Valley.

SHUK took a large rock, “with no justifiable reason”, and crushed the defenseless mammal multiple times causing the creature extreme pain and ultimately his/her death.

SHUK was yelling expletives about coronavirus and laughing while taking murdering the bat.

The Department of Environmental Conservation Police and Putnam County SPCA Law Enforcement Division located the murderer and questioned him at the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department.

SHUK, of Town of Philipstown, pled guilty to committing one count of animal cruelty, a class A Misdemeanor and was sentenced to 2 years probation.

ANY act of animal abuse should be classified as FELONY nationwide!

The MURDER of an innocent animal CANNOT be classified as a petty matter punishable with probation!

It’s DISGRACEFUL and I am furious that CALEB SHUK took it upon himself to end a precious life and was sentenced to probation!!!
