BRYAN ELLIS arrested for abusing his two Pitbulls during a civil order violation

- Arizona, USA -

On Monday, March 30, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) deputies responded to a civil order violation in the 2400 block of N. Resting Place, Chino Valley.

The person who reported the incident explained that 34-year-old BRYAN ELLIS (pictured below), had returned to the property in violation of his conditions of release from a recent jail stay.

Witnesses told deputies that ELLIS had two dogs inside a van.

Responding deputies did not find ELLIS at home, and they learned he was out walking his two dogs.

In the van, deputies located a third dog locked without food or water.

While they were investigating, they began to receive multiple complaints about a male subject abusing a dog in the 2800 block of N. Sunset Drive.

The description given of the suspect matched ELLIS’.

Eventually, deputies located ELLIS on Cottontail Drive and detained him.

Sadly, the dogs were not with him at the time.

He claimed his dogs got loose, and he was chasing after them.

He also denied the abuse even after witnesses confronted him.

Witnesses questioned by deputies stated that ELLIS had 2 Pitbulls, a white one and a brown one.

ELLIS was seen picking up the white Pitbull and throwing him to the ground several times.

He was also seen hitting the brown one.

The white Pitbull was seen by witnesses vomiting and then walking away limping.

The brown Pitbull was seen being dragged along the road surface and then vomiting.

Once the brown Pitbull was located in a safe home, deputies examined him and noticed scraped and bleeding front paws and bleeding from the mouth.

The furbaby was transported to a vet for treatment.

At the time of the media release, the Sheriff’s Office wrote that the white Pitbull could not be located and reached out to the residents in the area to be on the lookout.

After checking the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page for updates, I learned that the white Pitbull was found and is being treated.

ELLIS was booked on charges including animal cruelty and judicial process violation.

He is being held in the Camp Verde Detention Center without bond.
