BRENDEN M. CURTIS charged with animal torture and aggravated animal cruelty

Updated: Feb 9, 2021

- Illinois, USA -

The State Journal-Register reports that 24-year-old BRENDEN M. CURTIS (pictured below), is facing charges of animal torture and aggravated animal cruelty.

According to the complaint, CURTIS, of the 700 block of North Main Street in Loami, tortured his dog, a female black Labrador Retriever.

Charging documents state that CURTIS put the furbaby in a locked cage inside his home and denied her adequate food or water “for a sustained period of time ... subjecting the companion animal to extreme physical pain.”

Sadly, the furbaby later died.

According to court documents, CURTIS is in custody at the Sangamon County Jail.

Bond has been set at $50,000.

This cruel individual faces up to only five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Unfortunately, as reported by The State Journal-Register, CURTIS is eligible for probation.

Even if Curtis spent one week in jail, he would be fed.

He would not know what it feels like to be locked up with an empty stomach until he died!

According to The State Journal-Register, CURTIS is currently on probation for a 2020 domestic battery case in Sangamon County.

What a fine example of a human being in our society!
