ANDREW WAYNE TRIPP CARROLL arrested on accusation of neglecting his dog to the extent that the furvictim had to be euthanized

- Florida, USA -

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old ANDREW WAYNE TRIPP CARROLL (pictured) of Rockledge.

On Monday, June 15, 2026, the sheriff’s office received a call about the condition of a dog at CARROLL’s home on 1024 Medallion Drive, as per court records.

In a video statement Sheriff Ivey said that when Animal Enforcement Officers arrived at CARROLL’s home, they stumbled across something “horrible.”

Officers found a dog, named Chance, who was extremely emaciated and if that was not horrible enough, Chance also had his right back leg badly infected.

According to Sheriff Ivey, CARROLL at first refused to surrender Chance and although he later agreed to surrender the poor soul, at that point it was too late to save Chance’s precious life and he was euthanized.

Sheriff Ivey explained that Chance’s leg wasn’t just “severely infected, it was also covered in fleas. It had become necrotic with the flea infestation it had. It was in horrible shape.” Sheriff Ivey also commented that Chance “had been basically starved to death.”

Court records show CARROLL was arrested on June 18, 2026, and charged with one felony count of cruelty to animals causing death/pain/suffering.

Bond was set at $10,000. CARROLL appeared in court on June 19, 2026, and was released on the condition that he “not possess” any animals.

CARROLL is due back in Brevard County Circuit Court on July 14, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. before the Honorable Jonathan Skinner.
