ALLEN DOUGLAS MAGEE JR. arrested after an investigation revealed dead and neglected dogs

- Louisiana, USA -

On April 10, the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office arrested 42-year-old ALLEN DOUGLAS MAGEE, JR. (pictured below).

MAGEE JR., resident of Jess Peters Road in the Angie area, was booked into the Washington Parish Jail charged with nine counts of cruelty to animals and two outstanding warrants for failure to pay a fine and failure to appear in court.

According to a press release by the sheriff’s office, “The investigation into the animal abuse began on March 8 when a Sheriff's Office sergeant responded to a report of animal cruelty.”

Numerous dogs were discovered chained without food or water.

At least one dog was found to be suffering from obvious medical issues.

At this point, the sheriff’s office called in an investigator who was then assisted by the Washington Parish Animal Shelter.

A further investigation revealed cruelty to several dogs as well as dead dogs on the property.

The living dogs were seized and transported to the animal shelter to be examined by a veterinarian.

The sheriff’s office said all dogs tested positive for intestinal and heart worms in addition to other serious physical issues.

Sadly, eight of the dogs were medically euthanized while a ninth was transported to a veterinary clinic for surgery.

This worthless individual was released the day after his arrest after posting bond.

Washington Parish Sheriff Randy Seal said: “This was an egregious case of animal cruelty. I am grateful to our patrol sergeant, our investigator and the staff of the Washington Parish Animal Shelter for their diligence in investigating this very unpleasant case.”

As reported by the sheriff’s office, MAGEE JR. “has two previous stay in the Washington Parish Jail on charges ranging from attempted introduction of contraband into a correction facility to four counts of failure to appear in court and one count of contempt of court.”

Here is what I see:

Those poor dogs did NOT choose to be chained, to be sick, to be deprived of food and water, and to not live in a loving home.

ALLEN DOUGLAS MAGEE, JR. CHOSE TO COMMIT A CRIME.

Why the precious lives of those innocent dogs had to come to an end and MAGEE JR. is still breathing?

Why was he released?

What does it take for judges to take animal cruelty seriously?

Animals cannot go down the streets to protest like humans do and they cannot dial 911 to report their abuse!

It’s up to laws and judges to do that for them!!!
