On Monday, October 23, 2023, 43-years-old EARL ANTRON HAMILTON (pictured), accused of forcing dogs to fight until they died, presented an Alford guilty plea for those criminal charges.

HAMILTON pleaded guilty to:

Twelve felony counts of animal cruelty.

Twelve misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty.

Five felony counts of dogfighting.

Three misdemeanor counts of cruel restrain.

The charges refer to HAMILTON’s involvement in a despicable dogfighting case that dates back to 2021.

According to the incident report obtained by Voice For Us, on the afternoon of October 24, 2021, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department received a request for assistance from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control at a property in the 4300 block of Leopold Place, Buckleigh Neighborhood.

Animal Control was responding to the residence about an injured dog and since HAMILTON was known to be aggressive and had a “Domestic Violence protection order against him”, the agency requested help from the police.

Police determined there was justification to obtain a search warrant which then led to a total of twenty-nine (29) dogs being removed from the property.

Sadly, two of the dogs died due to medical issues and one was euthanized due to health complications.

The twenty-six (26) surviving dogs are currently in the care of CMPD Animal Care & Control getting medical and day-today care. Officials with animal control will make decisions on whether they can be placed for adoption or if they have to be euthanized.

A court date for HAMILTON has not been set.

HAMILTON is not allowed to own or have possession of any dogs for only five years; however, his wife is allowed to keep her two miniature Schnauzers.

On a separate note, WCNC reports, “A 2014 report from NBC affiliate WRAL shows Hamilton has previously made headlines in other parts of North Carolina for animal abuse charges. The report noted at least two other instances of animal cruelty accusations, in 2010 and in 2014.”

~ Update: November 2, 2023

I heard back from Animal Control and learned that the dog is about 10 months old and his name is Zeus. “He is doing fine, improving every day”, I was told in an email. Zeus was awarded custody to the Houston SPCA and “is being treated for injuries and malnourishment.”

~ Original story:

A Belgian Malinois is now thankfully safe after a video captured a savage striking him with a weight.

In the video, a male can be seen picking up a weight and throwing it at his dog. He then goes back over to the dog to repeatedly hit the furbaby who was in a “submissive position”, said the Houston SPCA in a press release.

The dog, unable to call for help, can be heard yelping and crying in pain.

The incident happened at a residence in the 400 block of Aurora Creek.

The Houston SPCA said that the rescue of the dog is the result of the “collaborative efforts” of the agency, the Waller County Sheriff’s Office, and Waller County Animal Control.

The Voiceless Victim was “severely malnourished”, said the Houston SPCA, but his well-being is now under the vigilant care of their veterinary staff and support teams.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing and the case will be heard by a judge next week.

Although animal cruelty in Texas is a felony, the crime is punishable by a maximum of ONLY two years in prison and a fine of $10,000. The identity of the scum has not been released.

The Houston SPCA said that its Chief Cruelty Investigator, Jay Chase, stressed the importance of community involvement and said: “If you are able to safely obtain photos or video to report animal cruelty, it can be very useful against those who commit these crimes in public view.”

Remember, reporting animal cruelty may save lives!

Voice For Us believes that animals abusers should experience the EXACT same ordeal they put their victims through before being hung from a tree until their pathetic and useless life slowly ends!

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of 40-years-old JOSHUA JOSEPH MUELLER (pictured).

In a press release, the sheriff’s office recounted the facts that ultimately led to MUELLER’s arrest.

On the evening of Thursday, October 26, 2023, MUELLER was arguing with a woman who was seated in a car parked in front of a home in the 7200 block of Halima Road in Dover.

At one point MUELLER, “became upset and shattered the front driver's side window with his fist. He then went inside and grabbed a large kitchen knife”, stated the release.

With the knife in his hands, MUELLER walked back outside, confronted the woman, and slashed at her arms several times. The woman’s dog was inside the vehicle and came in defense of his/her guardian.

MUELLER then proceeded to stab the dog in the face and in the chest area.

According to the release, when deputies arrested MUELLER, he confessed to stabbing the dog and slashing the woman’s arm.

MUELLER is now facing one felony count of aggravated cruelty to animals with a weapon and two felony counts of aggravated battery with a weapon with great bodily harm.

At time of writing, records show that MUELLER is being held at the Hillsborough County Jail.

In a statement, Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said: “This is a sad and reprehensible act of domestic violence and animal abuse that will not be tolerated in our county. While this individual cools off and faces the consequences of his violent actions, our heart goes out to the victim and their brave pup, and our deputies are working to get them the help they need to move forward.”
