GAGE JOEL SKINNER arrested for abusing a young puppy

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office arrested 26-years-old old GAGE JOEL SKINNER (pictured), of Escatawpa.

 

Jackson County Sheriff John Ledbetter said in a press release obtained by Voice For Us that acting on a tip submitted to MS Coast Crime Stoppers, investigators served a search warrant at SKINNER’s home on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

 

Sheriff Ledbetter said that upon arrival, deputies found evidence that a young puppy was being abused by SKINNER. 

 

An officer with Jackson County Animal Control removed the puppy and took him/her to the shelter.

The sheriff’s office tells me the puppy is a Pitbull, about 8-10 weeks old.

Thankfully, the furvictim did not sustain any serious injuries.

 

SKINNER was placed under arrest and is facing felony aggravated animal cruelty charges.


Jackson County Court Judge Mark Watts has denied bond for SKINNER “pending a mental evaluation”, stated the release.

 

At the time of writing, records show SKINNER is being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center.

TIFFANY NICHOLE BURLEY indicted on twenty-eight felony counts of aggravated cruelty to animals

A Cobb County Grand Jury indicted 36-years-old TIFFANY NICHOLE BURLEY (pictured), on twenty-eight (28) felony counts of aggravated animal cruelty.

 

BURLEY is accused of letting twenty-five (25) of her cats die at a home on 6566 Arbor Gate Drive in Mableton.

 

According to official documents obtained by Voice For Us, on September 19, 2023, an officer with the Cobb County Police Department responded to the aforementioned property to conduct a welfare check on BURLEY who “...hadn’t been to work in two weeks”.

 

When the officer arrived at the home, BURLEY was not there and neighbors confirmed they “...hadn’t seen her in weeks” either.

 

The yard around the house was covered in fleas. The officer noticed a decomposing smell coming from the home and forced entry.

 

Upon entering the home, the officer found dozens of dead cats who appeared to “...have been trapped and abandoned in the residence”.

 

From the back sliding door, the officer could see inside the home and noticed “garbage scattered all over the floor and furniture”. The officer reported that they “...could make out the remains of at least one deceased cat lying on the floor in the ‘main room’" and that “...the screens on the bottom windows have claw marks on them as does the far-right top screen”.

 

The findings were then passed on to Cobb County Animal Services Investigator David Whitley.

 

The Cobb Couty Animal Services Director, Stephen Hammond, has advised that search warrants were executed and the evidence was collected.

 

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, BURLEY was indicted by a Cobb County Grand Jury and her case will proceed through the court. The indictment accuses BURLEY of knowingly and intentionally abandoning thirty-one (31) cats at the residence, causing death or unjustifiable physical pain or suffering.

 

The cats were abandoned without food or water and were forced to live in unsanitary conditions.

 

These furvictims were found in different states of decomposition. Those who still had fur on them were extremely emaciated.

 

At the time of writing, BURLEY is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.

 

If convicted, BURLEY could spend several years behind bars, with Mr. Hammond advising it “...could be five years for each felony count”.

 

Still, she will be fed before and after her imprisonment, she won’t be emaciated!

TIMORRA INSHALLA ROGO arrested for the death of her dog who was found in the Chattahoochee River

The Cobb County Police Department arrested 31-years-old TIMORRA INSHALLA ROGO (pictured).

 

ROGO is accused of drowning her own dog who was found in the Chattahoochee River.

 

Mr. Stephen Hammond, Director of Cobb County Animal Services, tells me that the furvictim was discovered on July 11, 2023, “in the river near the boat ramp at Paces Mill Park by park workers.” Mr. Hammond explained that “...The river had been shut down due to contamination for about 10 days prior.”

 

He identified the furvictim as a 2-year-old male English Bulldog named Hodor.

 

Hodor was placed in a cage along with rocks with the evil intention of drowning the helpless soul. Mr. Hammond said: “Two rocks weighing about 8 pounds had been used to weigh down the cage.” Upon finding the cage, park workers alerted Animal Services and Hodor “was impounded as evidence.”

 

Hodor’s body was then sent to UGA for a necropsy. It took a while for the report to come back because there are so many animal cruelty cases that sadly have horrible endings. Results showed that Hodor died from drowning.

 

“Detective Whitley, our Animal Cruelty Investigator from the Cobb County Police Department took over the case and through his investigation was able to identify and locate the owner and perpetrator”, further explained Mr. Hammond.

 

ROGO was arrested on the late evening of April 18, 2024, and charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals. At the time of writing, records show that ROGO is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center. A Cobb County Judge denied bond.

 

Mr. Hammonds did not send me Hodor’s pictures as they are “too graphic to share.”
