The Tampa Police Department has arrested 27-years-old ERIC LEE JARAY HARRIS JR., a Pasco Sheriff's Office deputy, on a charge of felony animal cruelty.

Police said that on August 21, 2022, HARRIS got into an argument with his then-girlfriend.

The couple had been together for six months and she had moved into his Tampa apartment a month prior.

According to police, HARRIS “was upset over his girlfriend's two cats defecating on the floor outside of their litter box and jumping onto the counters and furniture.”

The day after the argument, on August 22, 2022, the girlfriend returned to the apartment in the evening to find her both furbabies “hiding in their crate.”

The woman pulled one of the two cats from the crate, a 3-year-old male named Alex, whose toenails were “broken and bloody.”

As stated in a press release, Alex was “acting oddly and unable to stand using his rear legs” so the woman immediately took him to his regular vet in Sarasota.

After examining Alex, the vet recommended the furbaby be taken to an animal hospital for urgent care.

Sadly, Alex died the same day due to his injuries.

Given the severity of Alex’s injuries, the doctor thankfully did the right thing and alerted law enforcement.

HARRIS was questioned by detectives but being a true coward who only goes after living beings who cannot fight back, he did not own up and denied any wrongdoing. The coward even claimed, “the cat was fine during the time that he was alone in the apartment with him.”

On August 26, 2022, a necropsy was conducted by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), and results showed Alex “suffered severe hemorrhaging and bruising to internal organs, facial injuries, including a missing tooth, and markings were found on his body indicating that he had been stomped. His cause of death was ruled as blunt force trauma.”

Police arrested HARRIS on August 31, 2022, on felony animal cruelty.

According to FOX 13 Tampa Bay, “The Pasco Sheriff's Office has confirmed Harris' employment was terminated when he was arrested.”

It took me a long time to type this. Every time I read the necropsy’s results, I kept imagining Alex being tortured, crying in pain, and unable to dial 911.

HARRIS, say again that your life matters after you took an innocent and precious one!!!

Online records show the filthy murderer was released from the Hillsborough County Jail after posting bond!

On Wednesday, August 24, 2022, Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods during his regular “Wanted by Woods Wednesday” on Facebook, reached out to the public for assistance in locating 43-years-old IVERY LUCKEY JR. (pictured). LUCKEY is wanted for 24 counts of aggravated animal cruelty and 17 counts of animal cruelty.

During his video, Sheriff Woods showed some heartbreaking images of cows who were extremely malnourished to the extent that their rib cages were showing.

He said: “These animals are in this condition due to the cruelty of 43-year-old Ivery Luckey.”

Sheriff Woods explained that his “agriculture deputies alongside Marion County Animal Control officers investigated the well-being of over 80 cows and found the majority of them to be in so malnourished condition that you could see their rib cages. I was present, and I saw them as well.”

Except for one, all the cows were removed and are being treated.

One cow had to be euthanized because of the “horrible conditions she was left in”, said the sheriff.

While addressing directly to LUCKEY, Sheriff Woods told him that animal control officers spoke with him and he claimed he was in Georgia and that he would be back to talk to them but he did not show up.

Sheriff Woods is confident that his citizens, being animal lovers, will find him.

If you have any information on LUCKEY’s whereabouts, please call Crime Stoppers of Marion County at 352-368-STOP and reference 22-50 in your tip.

Sheriff Woods said if you use Crime Stoppers and your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.

Meanwhile, as I was looking for LUCKEY’s court records, I learned that a “Petition for Hearing to Determine Fitness of Owner to Care for Animals” has been filed against him.

Aventura Police arrested 22-years-old JUSTIN LANCASTER (pictured) after he was witnessed abusing his two defenseless puppies.

On the night of Saturday, August 20, an officer responded to Aventura Boulevard and when he pulled into a Walgreens, he heard the sound of dogs wailing.

As the officer drove toward the sound of the dogs, two nearby CVS employees pointed him in the direction of LANCASTER and one of the two yelled: “He’s killing the dogs!”

Witnesses told the officer they saw LANCASTER throwing and slamming the puppies in the shrubbery.

The officer saw LANCASTER sitting on the ground with his back turned near some shrubbery. The officer reported that it appeared that LANCASTER was putting something around the puppies’ necks as they were crying out.

The officer called for backup and pointed his gun at LANCASTER ordering him to lay on his stomach.

LANCASTER turned to face the officer but did not follow his commands and said the puppies were his.

The officer realized that LANCASTER was not armed so he withdrew his weapon and put it away.

When the officer commanded LANCASTER to put his hands behind his back, LANCASTER stiffened his body and refused commands. The officer then punched him in the face to subdue him.

As the officer was struggling to place LANCASTER under arrest, one of the two furbabies ran off but was thankfully found a short time later.

The report stated that both puppies were “visibly hungry, shaking and scared.” It further stated that “When officers attempted to pick up the puppies, they both collapsed into the bush as if they were extremely exhausted from fighting off (the) defendant’s efforts to hurt them.”

Officers reported that LANCASTER had been trying to put a makeshift belt around the puppies’ necks. Officers described it to be short in length with a buckle and a string or cord attached to it.

LANCASTER, of Fort Lauderdale, was placed under arrest and charged with felony animal cruelty and resisting arrest.

Online arrest records show he is being held at the Miami-Dade County Corrections and Rehabilitations.

Online court records do not have a date for his court appearance.

The furbabies were taken to the Hollywood Animal Hospital to be evaluated.

I have emailed the Aventura Police Department and requested additional information about the VOICELESS VICTIMS.

If I receive a response, I will publish an update.
