The Marion County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-years-old GENEVA DESIREE NICOLE HONOR (pictured), after she admitted to throwing seven innocent puppies into bushes.

According to the arrest affidavit, on February 14, 2023, investigator Bridget Walker with the Marion County Animal Services contacted Agricultural Deputy Manning with the Marion County Sheriff's Office about seven mix breed puppies who had been abandoned at the Humane Society of Marion County on NW 14th Road. She also explained that she had been contacted by Eddy Leedy, director of the Humane Society of Marion County, who gave her video footage showing a red four door vehicle pulling into the shelter parking lot, a female exiting the car, throwing seven puppies out of the trunk, and then leaving.

Thankfully, all the puppies, who are approximately 8 weeks old, are alive!

Deputy Manning met with Investigator Walker to watch the video. Footage showed HONOR reaching into the trunk, grabbing the puppies one by one, tossing them into a patch of bushes at the entrance of the shelter, getting back into the vehicle and leaving. As stated in the arrest affidavit, HONOR hurled the puppies “with force like tossing a bag of garbage into a dumpster.” Thankfully, the video captured the license plate of the vehicle which was registered to HONOR.

Deputy Manning and Investigator Walker responded to HONOR's registered address on 2468 NW 40th Street to speak with her and upon arrival, they noticed the same vehicle, from the video, parked on the east side of the property. Deputy Manning advised HONOR they were there to inquire about the puppies and she stated she took them to the shelter and dropped them off. HONOR then asked: “What was the problem.” Deputy Manning asked HONOR whether she had talked to someone at the shelter and she said no. When Deputy Manning asked HONOR why she did not take the puppies inside, she answered “she did not know what she was supposed to do.”

HONOR went on to say that she was tired of the puppies coming into her yard “pissing and shitting all over, chewing things up under the house and she wanted them gone.”

Investigator Walker asked HONOR whether the puppies were hers and she said “they belonged to her cousin Eugene Mitchell.” HONOR said she had talked to her cousin about removing the puppies and feels she was getting the run around. HONOR further said that she would have taken the two adult dogs as well if she was not afraid of being bitten.

HONOR felt she did not do anything wrong with the puppies and even stated she should have just shot them and been done. Investigator Walker asked HONOR who feeds the dogs and what kind of food is given to them. To that, HONOR answered: “Everyone, I even give them all the table scraps with dog food.” Investigator Walker contacted Eugene Mitchell via telephone. He confirmed the puppies were his and said he had planned to take them to the Humane Society when they were old enough. Investigator Walker told Mitchell what happed to the puppies and informed him that they were at the Humane Society and that after receiving medical care they would be available for adoption.

HONOR was arrested on Thursday, February 16, 2023, and was booked into the Marion County Jail.

Court records show that HONOR is being charged with seven misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals and seven misdemeanor counts of abandonment of animal.

HONOR was released from jail the day after her arrest.

I have emailed the Marion County Sheriff’s Office to inquire about the puppies’ mom and I was told that there is no reference to that in the report. I was provided with a copy of the arrest affidavit but there is no mention of that either.

I had requested pictures of the puppies but I am told that no photos are available.

Putting aside the fact that this female’s last name couldn’t be more inappropriate, she said she was tired of the puppies and wanted them gone. Well, look at her mugshots below, see how many times she’s been arrested!

Now, imagine if we could say the same thing about her, “I am tired of this society’s vomit. I want her gone!”

On February 6, 2023, deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Ambassador Drive in Sunny Hills after receiving a call from a neighbor of 64-years-old JOHNNY LEE WASHINGTON.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the owner of the property who told deputies that although she had owned the property for years, she had not been there in over a year.

While on the scene, deputies noticed several dogs chained, who appeared to be malnourished and had no access to water.

They then tried to contact WASHINGTON, the adjoined property owner, but attempts were unsuccessful so animal control was called in to remove the dogs.

Meanwhile, WASHINGTON returned to his property and when he made contact with deputies, they advised him that he was trespassing on the adjacent property. WASHINGTON said he only wanted to remove his dogs from that property.

According to a press release by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and obtained by Voice For Us, deputies concluded that due to WASHINGTON trespassing, the dogs’ condition, and the fact that that they were being kept on someone else’s property, a search warrant had to be executed at WASHINGTON’s residence. A further investigation revealed that more than thirty dogs were found on three different adjoining properties.

WASHINGTON was placed under arrest and taken to the Washington County Jail.

He faces twenty-seven counts of animal cruelty, one count of aggravated animal cruelty, as well as charges of trespassing and resisting arrest. The sheriff’s office said that additional charges may be forthcoming.

All the Voiceless Victims are being evaluated by veterinarians.

I have emailed the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to inquire about the dogs. If I get a response, I will post an update.

~ Update: February 7, 2023

I had email Lee County Domestic Animal Services to inquire about the dogs and I have just heard back from the agency. I learned that the three dogs are all females.

Gaia is 3-year-old Pitbull, Fauna is a 1 ½ -year-old Pitbull, and Flora is a 3-year-old Pitbull.

They are still in the care of Lee County Domestic Animal Services.

Lee County Domestic Animal Services also provided me with two pictures and I have added them to the gallery below.

The Cape Coral Police Department arrested 34-years-old ANTHONY ALEXIO TATUM (pictured) for animal cruelty following a traffic stop.

In a press release, the Department said that on the evening of Tuesday, January 31, 2023, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for several traffic infractions at the 1800 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway East, Cape Coral in Lee County.

TATUM was the driver of the vehicle in question and sole occupant.

According to the release, TATUM immediately began to be argumentative, he refused to identify himself, and he even “rolled up his window leaving a small 2-inch space open where he continued to disregard officers' orders.” Despite all the opportunities given to identify himself and to step out of the vehicle, TATUM remained in the truck forcing officers to use “a department-issued window breaker to break the vehicle’s window to allow them to open the door and remove Mr. Tatum,” explained police.

After officers struggled to place TATUM under arrest, they inspected the vehicle and found “three dogs in a covered kennel in the rear bed of his truck.”

As stated in the release, “These makeshift kennels were surrounded by plywood and wrapped in a tarp. There was poor ventilation, and the temperature inside the kennels was uncomfortably hot. The dogs were panting from the scorching temperatures and appeared visibly distressed. The dogs covered in feces had bloody mouths from attempting to escape these unpleasant conditions. No food or water was located inside any of the kennels.”

Officers removed the VOICELESS VICTIMS and took them to Lee County Domestic Animal Services.

TATUM, of Lewisville, Texas, was transported to Lee County Jail, or "Marceno Motel", as Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno calls it.

TATUM faces charges of aggravated animal cruelty, resisting without violence, and failure to register a motor vehicle.

Online records show he is still in custody.

According to court records, TATUM’s next court appearance is set for March 6, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. in Lee County Circuit Court.

I have emailed the Cape Coral Police Department and requested additional information about the furbabies. If I receive a response, I will post an update.
