SHELDON ORLANDO MOULTON arrested after he kicked cat twice in the face for sitting on the couch

30-year-old SHELDON ORLANDO MOULTON (pictured below), was arrested early Tuesday morning, January 28, after he cowardly kicked a defenseless cat in the face.

Deputies Corbin Hradecky and Garrett Bragg responded to the 300 block of Anglers Drive in Marathon about a domestic disturbance.

A 35-year-old woman told them that her boyfriend, (MOULTON), had kicked their cat twice in the face for sitting on the couch and this angered him.

She said that MOULTON does not like the cat on furniture.

It was the woman’s mother who called the police.

Reportedly, when MOULTON came back home from New York he found the cat, named Moewy, on the couch and kicked him.

The girlfriend called her mother to tell her what happened and she alerted the authorities.

Deputies said the poor furbaby was frightened and was hiding behind curtains.

Deputies noticed he was shaking uncontrollably and cowering.

His tiny nose was red and swollen and he kept staring at the officers’ feet fearing another kick.

When MOULTON was questioned, he walked away and tried to hide marijuana he had in the room.

He was charged with animal cruelty, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence.

The girlfriend remains unidentified as she is a potential victim of domestic abuse.

KEVIN JAMES FISHBURN finally located and arrested after he shot his own dog in the face

- Stark County, Ohio, USA -

Stark County Sheriff’s Office deputies finally tracked down and arrested 23-year-old KEVIN JAMES FISHBURN (pictured below), of Massillon.

FISHBURN is accused of shooting in the face his own dog, a 3-year-old black German shepherd named Zeus.

On January 15, Zeus was found bleeding by a passerby near a landfill.

The Good Samaritan took him to the Soehnlen Veterinary Clinic on Beth Avenue SW in Navarre and then split the veterinary medical bill with a co-worker.

Dr. Mike Sparling sedated the furbaby and dressed the wounds.

An x-ray revealed about 10 small bullet fragments in Zeus’s lower jaw.

The clinic then alerted the Sheriff’s Office and told deputies that the pup had sustained a gunshot wound so they launched an investigation.

On their Facebook post the Stark County Sheriff’s Office wrote that they “presented the case to the Canton City Prosecutor's Office where a warrant was issued for FISHBURN’s arrest.

The accused was booked into the Stark County Jail on one count of Prohibitions Concerning Companion Animal (Felony 5).”

FOX 8 reports that according to the police report, FISHBURN took Zeus on a walk on public hunting grounds and when Zeus became aggressive and charged at him, the criminal pulled out his gun and shot the poor pup.

Thinking Zeus had died, FISHBURN removed the collar and ID and left him there.

Thanks to a timely rescue Zeus is alive and is expected to make a full recovery.

Oh, by the way, Zeus has shown no signs of aggressive behavior!

FISHBURN was released after posting a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Canton Municipal Court on January 29 for a preliminary hearing.

RONALD ALAN WINTERS arrested after his dog was found only skin and bones on his porch

- Volusia County, Florida, USA -

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is reporting a sad case of severe animal cruelty.

As their Facebook post warns, “this may break your heart and make you angry”.

This is how the Sheriff’s Office recounts what happened on Sunday, January 26:

“Deputy James responded to an address in DeLand to provide an escort for someone removing her belongings and moving out of the house. While on scene, Deputy James was informed of a dog on the front porch. He was told the dog wouldn't bite, or even move.

After two blankets covering the dog were removed, Deputy James realized the dog was severely emaciated and soiled. She had a bowl of food next to her that appeared untouched, and was obviously suffering.

Deputy James contacted Volusia County Animal Services which assessed the dog and determined her body condition score was a 1, the worst condition.”

The dog, a 13-year-old named Miria, was taken to a veterinarian who evaluated her and gave her the best medical treatment possible.

Sadly, due to her deteriorating condition and obvious suffering, she was euthanized.

72-year-old RONALD ALAN WINTERS (pictured below), was arrested in connection with this case, and charged with one count of cruelty to animals.

On WINTERS’ property two cats were found in need of medical attention but their conditions did not rise to the level of animal cruelty charges.

The two furbabies named Grey and JackJack, were taken in by Animal Services to receive treatment and will be put up for adoption at New Hope Animal Shelter in DeLand.
